That is, critical race theory is race Marxism. The evidence of this claim is so overwhelming upon even casual examination that it is a shock that it isn't immediately plain to everyone who encounters it.

America made that happen, but now America has lost interest in keeping it going. Peter Zeihan maps out the next world: a world where countries or regions will have no choice but to make their own goods, grow their own food, secure their own energy, fight their own battles, and do it all with populations that are both shrinking and aging.

The Vision of the Anointed is a devastating critique of the mindset behind the failed social policies of the past thirty years. Thomas Sowell sees what has happened not as a series of isolated mistakes, but as a logical consequence of a vision whose defects have led to disasters in education, crime, family disintegration, and other social pathology. In this book, "politically correct" theory is repeatedly confronted with facts-and sharp contradictions between the two are explained in terms of a whole set of self-congratulatory assumptions held by political and intellectual elites.

Gender identity ideology is about more than Twitter storms and using the right pronouns. In just 10 years, laws, company policies, school and university curricula, sport, medical protocols, and the media have been reshaped to privilege self-declared gender identity over biological sex. People are being shamed and silenced for attempting to understand the consequences of redefining "man" and "woman". While compassion for transgender lives is well-intentioned, it is stifling much-needed inquiry into the significance of our bodies.

Always trust your feelings. Life is a battle between good people and evil people. These three Great Untruths contradict basic psychological principles about well-being as well as ancient wisdom from many cultures. And yet they have become increasingly woven into education, culminating in a stifling culture of 'safetyism' that began on American college campuses.

Or been told that being obese is healthy, that there is no such thing as biological sex, or that only White people can be racist? Are you confused by these ideas, and do you wonder how they have managed to challenge the logic of Western society? In this probing volume, Helen Pluckrose and James Lindsay document the evolution of the dogma that informs these ideas, from its coarse origins in French postmodernism to its refinement within activist academic fields.

Summary
The brilliant and provocative new book from one of the world’s foremost political writers.
The anti-Western revisionists have been out in force in recent years. It is high time that we revise them in turn....
In The War on the West, international best-selling author Douglas Murray asks: if the history of humankind is a history of slavery, conquest, prejudice, genocide and exploitation, why are only Western nations taking the blame for it?
It’s become, he explains, perfectly acceptable to celebrate the contributions of non-Western cultures, but discussing their flaws and crimes is called hate speech. What’s more it has become acceptable to discuss the flaws and crimes of Western culture, but celebrating their contributions is also called hate speech. Some of this is a much-needed reckoning; however, some of it is part of a larger international attack on reason, democracy, science, progress—and the citizens of the West by dishonest scholars, hatemongers, hostile nations and human rights abusers hoping to distract from their ongoing villainy.
In The War on the West, Douglas Murray shows how many well-meaning people have been lured into protests and polarisation by such lies and hypocrisy. A blistering and important polemic, Murray’s latest book carefully and methodically shows how far political discourse has strayed in Europe and America from its stated goals: justice and equality. Propelled by an incisive deconstruction of inconsistent arguments and activism, towards a clarion call for the defence of enlightenment values, The War on the West is one of the most important books for a generation, cementing Murray as one of the world’s foremost political writers.

In the land of the blind …
Finally, Douglas Murray has released a new book. Having listened to his previous works (The Madness of Crowds, The Strange Death of Europe), I have been eagerly anticipating his next reflection on the modern state of play.
Some of the events of recent years have had me scratching my head, (such as Germaine Greer being no platformed). This book provides the intellectual lubrication necessary to un-grind my gears.
‘The Author of This Work’ takes us on a tour through the riots, protests and the cultural speak of the last few years; focusing almost exclusively on events in the UK and America. Counter to the media message being pumped out, ‘the west must collectively sigh in shame’; this book makes a counter statement that we should respect the achievements of our society and, where possible, build on them.
Without repeating himself it is a perfect addition to his body of work. His three books, that I’ve listened to, all look at how our current society is being irreversibly vandalised, largely, from within. Each of his works deconstructs the myths that have been created around these new paradigms, then proceeds to skewer them and drag their creators into the light.
Instead of providing answers this is more a guide in what to look out for and how to counter some of the more spurious arguments of those who are seeking to redefine our society and create an entirely new paradigm.
Thankfully he is narrating again, Douglas Murray’s voice has a reassuring quality that falls somewhere between Rik Mayall and David Attenborough, it would not be out of place narrating a children’s book. If you’re listening to your books and not reading them then this is the kind of voice you’ll probably enjoy.

I did not think he could top his previous two books but he has! This is a brilliant , beautifully written critique of critical race theory, anti-white racism and the self-flagellation that only goes on in the West. And even though I felt angry quite a few times while listening, he writes with such an incisive wit, that I also had a few laughs as well.

“Luck is a product of design”.
Douglas’ arguments and conclusions are excellently researched and stylishly presented as ever.
Yet again he picks apart the assertions of the modern day detractors of all we hold dear in The West.
I always knew that western society have always had to contend with an enemy within working against it. Douglas really drives home just how serious this ‘omnipresent and myopic hatred’ from the modern left actually is and just how convenient this is to our enemies in the CCP.

Douglas Murray for PM
I was minded to think much of this book before I read it, as usual Murray has surpassed my expectations.
The conclusion sums it up for me and I shan't spoil anything here.
I am minded to think that the west needs to pursue an aggressive isolationist stance now. As much as the conclusion wishes for a world of peaceful understanding and acceptance, the chapters before have highlighted in words what I feel already far too well.
We are beset with bad faith actors, entities, countries and continents.

Man Shouts at Clouds Would Be More Accurate
Purchased this on a whim. Unfortunately, I only listened to the first part as I found myself rolling my eyes often I worried I'd need to visit the optician's.
This is not a critical discussion and focusses heavily on one writer's unfounded nightmares. He fails to support his views and spends the majority of his word count on conjuring up imagined fears.
Murray has failed to convince me that Western Civilisation is on the decline; in fact, much of the world's cultures are increasingly exposed to the thought of Western tradition (international relations is based upon the Westphalian model of the state for crying out loud). If anything, the Western civilisation is safer than it has ever been. I wonder if Murray is greiving the irrelevance of Fukuyama's predictions in The End of History?
This book is a boorish rant at best and a potential weapon for the far right at worst.

Clear, understandable and enlightening.
My need for arguments against political correctness, CRT and woke craziness finds a great resource here. While a lot of it is based on things happening mainly in the USA, it clearly is being copied in other western countries and so makes this work broadly applicable to anyone wondering if this is the end of the line for the West. Spoiler alert: it is not.
Douglas has a pleasant voice , the production of this audio book benefits from it.
If you think or even worry about the ideological contest in the world now, this book comes highly recommended.

The Woke Exposed
Well researched and argued, with an impressive reach, as Murray's books tend to be. One can only hope that today's reverse racism will be a passing phase in our civilization's development, though it's legacy will surely taint our progress for years to come.
My only reservation about the book is that the writing and reading styles are rather melodramatic, but this is a subjective view.
