Sleep is one of the most important aspects of our life, health and longevity and yet it is increasingly neglected in 21st century society, with devastating consequences: every major disease in the developed world - Alzheimer's, cancer, obesity, diabetes - has very strong causal links to deficient sleep. Until very recently, science had no answer to the question of why we sleep, or what good it served, or why its absence is so damaging to our health. Compared to the other basic drives in life - eating, drinking and reproducing - the purpose of sleep remained elusive.

The 'Iceman' Wim Hof shares his remarkable life story and powerful method for supercharging your strength, health and happiness.
Wim Hof has become a modern icon for his astounding achievements, breaking world records withstanding extreme temperatures and running barefoot marathons over deserts and ice fields. Most of all, he's shown us that these feats are not superhuman - but that all of us have the ability to be stronger, healthier and happier than we've ever imagined.

Refined over 40 years and championed by scientists across the globe, you'll learn how to harness three key elements of cold, breathing and mindset to master mind over matter and achieve the impossible.

A Difficult Listen.
Firstly, the audio quality is not up to standard at all, ambient noise is a bit much. Secondly, really wish they didn't settle for a middle ground interms of performance. Either use a professional ebook reader with no dramatic personality or have Wim himself read his book. This is somewhere inbetween and sounds forced. I often found myself drifting off and not following whats being read. So cannot recommend this unfortunately, and will buy the physical book instead.

Narrator!
Narrator was extremely irritating. Seemed to try and oversell every single line. Because of this it was hard to tell if the book was just poorly written or if he made it sound that way. Content wise, it could have been 1 chapter long to get the info you needed.

Time too embrace the cold.
This was a lovely book. i have liked Wim for a while now soo i knew i had to get this book. it introduces you too the Journey Wim has been on . and its shocking how such a simple method can cause soo many great things. i was almost done with the book yesterday, but was already inspired to test this out for myself. soo i did the breathing before going to bed. when i woke up i got straight into the shower. enjoyed the warn water for 2minutes, and then i turned it cold. i stood there for 1 minute, just breathing and letting the cold Water run over me. after that i sat in my bed and did 1 round of the breathing, and then i did pushups and biceps curls. and i shit you not, i struggled dooing more than 10 pushups before, but now i did 20 with ease. im now starting my own Journey to see what the cold and a little breathing can do for me...
highly recomend this book.

Great book but should have been narrated by Wim!
I've been practising the Wim Hof Method for a few months now and have been enjoying the breathing sessions and tolerating the cold showers!
The book is really great and goes much more in-depth which I found very interesting. You can see that Wim is really genuine and wants to help people and our planet.
I was really looking forward to hearing Wim read this book but he's not the narrator which was VERY disappointing (hence the four stars). With Wim narrating, it would have got 6 stars!

Like the method less so the book
Been a member of the community and App for some time having seen Wimhof on television and other media. The breathing method and cold shower techniques bring something to me. No question. Having bought the audio book I was disappointed there isn’t more to it - it feels like a filler to sell books. Buy the method but I’d save your money on the book.

Brilliant and clears up some questions I had
This is a fantastic production. The best of the 3 audio books I have purchased so far. It clears up many questions I had and shows how versatile this practise can be. It has life changing insight into the WHM.
Do the right thing and add it to your library, especially if you question its validity and effects. And if you are a sceptic, why not try the practise for yourself?
