About this listen
When Libby's husband Greg fails to return from a two-week canoe trip to the Canadian wilderness, the authorities soon write off his disappearance as an unhappy husband's escape from an empty marriage and unrewarding career. Their marriage might have survived if their daughter Lacey hadn't died…and if Greg hadn't been responsible. Libby enlists the aid of her wilderness savvy father-in-law and her faith-walking best friend to help her search for clues to her husband's disappearance...if for no other reason than to free her to move on. What the trio discovers in the search upends Libby's presumptions about her husband and rearranges her faith.

GREAT STORY - A WINNER!
Until I listened to this book, I’ve never heard of this author before.
What a lovely discovery! I have downloaded more of her books immediately on finishing this one.
I have to give credit to the narrator. She is brilliant. I love her pace and voices. Could listen to her for hours.
The storyline was so interesting. I could not wait for the next chapter. Absolutely amazing how the author have woven the Christian faith into the storyline so naturally without it being over the top or in your face. I loved it.
What can I say? I loved everything about this book! I am so glad I discovered Cynthia. I am now a devoted fan for sure.

Great storyline but author could benefit from education on ableist language
First, the narration was fantastic! Perfect comedic timing and the pace of narration was brilliant.
The story itself was really good. I was gripped and felt eager to get further on with the journey to find out what happened next. What spoiled it for me were a number of ableist words and phrases thrown in by the author, particularly those regarding sight loss and mental illness. Disability also isn’t a dirty word or a bad thing.
I’m not at all religious and didn’t realise this was a Christian faith book. Thankfully, it wasn’t too in-your-face but I’m not sure that I would’ve listened to what truly is a great story had I known that Christianity was woven into it.

Don’t bother
It’s just religious talk throughout. Pastors, Jesus, bible and prayers over and over. Could have been a lot better without all that
