really enjoyable book

The story was really lovely and whilst I found the lead character irritating at first, I grew to like her towards the end as she grew. Easy to listen to

Amazing

I absolutely adored this book by Cousens which was excellently brought to life by Arterton. I was filled with excitement from start to finish, it is almost as if the reader is bursting to tell the characters what is about to happen. The development of said protagonists is fantastic and even background characters have their time to shine.

The ending leaves readers satisfied, however, the reader is left with a longing to hear more about Minnie and Quinn. I can also see this being turned into a movie. (Hopefully!)

This audiobook is for lovers of romantic comedies as it is easy to see yourself in Minnie Cooper. We all want to have a love story designed by fate itself, and this one quite certainly is.

I am looking forward for more book of this writer

I liked this story very much. I have finished it in 3 days, when usually I cannot find time for a book. I cannot say much about story itself, because I don't want to spoil, but highly recommend.

Loved the humour 😂

This was such a fun book to listen to!! It's not a steamy book at all but listening to the relationship develop between the main characters kept me gripped the entire time. And boy did I laugh!

Minnie Cooper (yes that's her name 😂) and Quinn Hamilton were both born a minute apart on New Years Day. Their mothers actually shared a hospital room.

Fast forward 30 years and the pair finally meet in person. But when Minnie realises who Quinn is, she's not exactly over the moon, because all her life she's believed that her 'bad luck birthday curse' is due to the fact that Quinn stole her name!!

This book bounces between the present and past but it's really easy to follow. I absolutely loved hearing about the past because it really added to the depth of the characters' personalities.

And the side characters were so well fleshed out too. Especially Leila, Minnie's bestie. OMG she's hilarious 😂

Seriously, this is a book you need to read or listen to if you're in the mood for a light hearted love story. If you're a fan of Bridget Jones then this book should be at the top of your TBR list!!

It's been a while since I read a book set in England and I really enjoyed it 🤎

I can't wait to dive in to more from this author 😍

What a cracker

This is a book I wish I could give more than 5 stars to. It absolutely captivated me from the off. I reluctantly put it down for sleep and picked it up straight away the next day eager to further immerse myself in Minnie and Quinns life. Not the usual chocolate box romance, this story had a serious mental health side story. The book had the perfect the balance of serious, humour and romance. I can tell this is one I'm going to be gushing about for ages! Great narration really drew me in. Hannah has a very easy to listen to voice

Such a lush story 4🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was so nice to listen too. I always wondered what Labour, delivery and birthdays would be like on New Years Eve and New Years Day. Thanks to the lovely writer Sophie Cousens I caught a glimpse.

I have read dual timeline books before and they haven't been that clear but this book went back to NYE 1990 and went through to NYD 2021, I am happy to say that I did NOT get confused once.

I loved that the writer included Mental health issues and anxiety as a massive majority of people suffer with it.

The narrator was really good although I always have to adjust the narration speed for it to be faster.

I really do recommend this book 😀
