Wrong Narrator
I should have checked the narrator having been used to Jennifer Woodward, I could not understand the voices and did not know the characters the way Penelope Rawlins read this. What happened to Will Trent's voice, he has turned into a zombie. If you are working through the Karin Slaughter books keep to the same narrator. Good story but spoiled for me

True Slaughter
I'm a Karen Slaughter fan, and this did not disappoint me! Held my attention from beginning to end. The narrator was good and I wouldn't think twice about listening to another book read by her. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and this one was one of the best for a long time.

The importance of a good speaker
I have always loved this author and I am sure this book is just as good as the others, however the narrator seems to believe that to read the male words she has to make this really deep voice. it makes the words difficult to understand and has completely spoiled the beginning of the story for me. I am trying to persevere with this book because the author is usually so good but I am unsure I will be able to cope with this narrator.
I have scored the book low only because It is so difficult to get into it with this narrator.

Ive read the book, love it. tried to persevere with this, got to ch.3 and gave up. the guys voices are so difficult to listen to, really slow and stunted and all sound the same. it's a shame as I've enjoyed the other ones and wanted to listen to whole series.

traumatised by the narrator
the narrator was so bad I am still traumatised. I usually download a book straight after one finishes but after this massacre I decided I need to lay off the audio books. I can't believe they let this happen. I am sure that the story was good as I have loved Karin slaughters books. I pray never to come across such narration ever again. I need a further 2 weeks off audio books to regain my balance. sorry for being so dramatic but I fear it is worse than I have posted.

Karin did it again
If you could sum up Unseen in three words, what would they be?
Addictive, hard hitting, passionate!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Unseen?
I won't say I think it will spoil the book....
Which character – as performed by Penelope Rawlins – was your favourite?
Will, I loved his vulnerability....
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes definitely but I had to listen to it on the way to and from work. I was having terrible withdrawal symptoms i so listened to it at home at well just to see what happened next!
Any additional comments?
Loved this installment of the developing relationship between Will and Sarah can't wait for the next book in this series.

Slow story, slow delivery
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The book would have been better if it had been half the length and got to the point without the continual rehashing of ideas.
What didn’t you like about Penelope Rawlins’s performance?
Really slow delivery, awful voices.
You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?
No
Any additional comments?
I have liked most of the other books by Karin Slaughter. The last one was a bit odd but this one was just tedious.

Ordinary
I have enjoyed the Karin Slaughter books and looked forward to the next in the series eagerly. Whilst it carried on with the lives of the same characters I found the plot quite ordinary and it failed to grip me or hold my attention in the same way as the previous novels.
I was disappointed by the female narrator who's 'male voices' just annoyed me and distracted further from the story. Shame.

what's happened..
narrator is terrible.
Don't think I can continue with this book. keep losing focus. If you've listened to the previous books. this is a real struggle to get used to the new narrator and voices that just don't fit the characters or make sense.
pitty as I really liked the series so far.
