About this listen
I don’t do commitment. And though I swing both ways, I don’t do men either.
It’s too messy, too stressful, and just asking for trouble.
I’d rather shine bright like the sun than drown in the rain, so I adopt a pounce-and-bounce lifestyle for which my sparkling charm keeps me from being hated.
When I show up in Sweden for a semester abroad, I expect a roomie. What I don’t expect is Lars. The storm to my sun. The test of my patience. How easy he makes it to forget all my reasons for staying away from guys.
No big deal. I’ll just pivot from pounce and bounce to roomies with benefits. I’ll get to indulge in that side of me, then leave it half a world away. What happens in Sweden stays in Sweden… until he follows me home.
Lars shows up at Westbrook looking like my little brother’s new swim bro. Just as alluring as he did before.
And all I can do is ask myself, WTF?
My resolve for an uncomplicated, stress-free life isn’t something I’m willing to give up for anyone, even if his icy-blond hair begs for my fingers and those pale-blue eyes are haunted by shadows.
I might be the sun, but I am not his sun, and it’s not my job to chase away whatever sent him running here. He swears it isn’t me. But I’m calling bullshit. Why else would he show up on my turf?
But then shit starts happening, and the shadows in his eyes turn to panic. I catch a glimpse of the bruises on his creamy, flawless skin.
I can’t keep him at arm’s length anymore. I don’t want to. Protecting him means surrendering to everything I always refused. His destruction or mine.
The choice is simple, so achingly absolute that I can’t help but wonder once more…
WTF?
Please note that WTF contains stalking and domestic abuse (not between the main characters). There is also mention of (off-page) parental death. Some listeners may find these things uncomfortable.
WTF is part of the Westbrook Elite series but can be listened to as a standalone.

SPICY!!
These two are intense. I loved Lars especially in the very beginning when he first picks up Win from the airport! I instantly fell for him and all his broodiness. I loved Win in Wes's story so I already knew this one would be great and I was not disappointed. I am obsessed with this world and I have loved all the stories so much!
Evan Henderson and Michael Norman Johnson were amazing!

Win & Lars
I think this might be my favourite of the series so far . Win is sent to Sweden where he meets Lars his roommate and when feelings progress thru become something more but Win leaves . When Lars is sent to Westbrook and he meets Win again they aren’t in the best place as Win is still denying he feels something more for Lars that is until Lars is anaphylactic again and it brings everything back to Win. Then when Lars’s past comes back to haunt him can Win get there to save him in time .

These Elite Men.....!!!!
These Elite men are so fun to get to know! This is the fourth book by Cambria Hebert's Westbrook Elite series, each stands alone but if read in order, the full background of the team's players is featured and gives a feeling of family. This one is Win's story, and while not on the swim team, we did get to know his brothers, Wes and Max previously. He decides to go to Sweden for a semester abroad and finds himself rooming with a student that steals his heart. Lars is a gorgeous Swede, with his translucent skin and white hair. When Win returns to Westbrook, he is not himself, but no one really knows why. Lars is unhappy and on the run from a dangerous situation. Where better to go than to Westbrook? He transfers and joins the Elite squad much to Win's surprise. Is Win happy to see his semester fling? Is Lars truly interested in Win? Will he have escaped the situation he was trying to get away from? Hebert knows how to write a love story. Win loves with his whole heart, and when it comes to Lars, he is a goner. Lars is his angel. Lars is afraid of his feelings for Win, afraid he will be found and what danger he could bring to Win. With the tight knit group of the team, he squad rallies around him, and nothing and no one will hurt their own. It's love, it's loyalty and its a safe haven that is felt throughout the story. Loved this installment and I can't wait for the next one.
Evan Henderson and Michael Norman Johnson are the narrators and they are fabulous. Perfectly cast, each character has the voice that suits them, with the right amount of emotions. Whether anger, frustration, fear, love or passion, the story flows with all the feels and made my heart fill with each one.

The narrators brought Win and Lars to life!
From the moment in Wish when Win wakes up and says "Lars" I have been waiting and hoping for this book. This grumpy sunshine story had me on the edge of my seat anxiously turning pages as I devoured this book. Lars is so brooding and mysterious with many dark secrets, while Win is a total golden retriever, all sunshine and positivity. That said we all know that sunshine creates shadows and Win's do make an appearance.
The pacing of this book was fast and I felt like I was speeding through the story. There were many times I was anxious and panicked and worried about these boys that I fell head over heels for. Their was so much yearning in this book and I loved it.
My biggest complaint about this book is that I wanted more! I wanted more time with the rest of the Bro's and their partners. I wanted more of Lars and Win in Sweden, and I wanted more of them together at Westbrook.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Evan Henderson and Michael Norman Johnson. I'll be honest, I don't know who narrated which character. I enjoyed their performances, but noticed some editing inconsistencies and some pronunciation mistakes that didn't get caught in proofing. There was a clear attempt to make sure the Swedish was authentic, and while I don't speak the language it sounded good to me.
Please check content warnings before reading. I will list some at the bottom of my review.
I love this series so much! I am thrilled to know Cambria Hebert will be continuing to write in the series.
I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily give my review.

I've enjoyed this series a lot. There's depth, but there's humour too and one of the best found families I've read in a long time. Lars and Win are two of my favourite CH characters ever (sorry Trew) This has a pretty heavy trigger mentioned so make sure you keep yourself safe. But these swimmers are my guys (and gals)

More of Elite!
Win is the fun brother that comes back from Sweden with a secret. That secret lands on his college and at the Elite swimmers no less. Lars brings his beautiful looks, swimming talent and a big secret. Their journey is not so smooth but when Win accepts his love for sweet Lars, everything gets better until that secret comes back to hunt them. I throughly enjoyed this book, specially the bond with the Elites, and it’s so well narrated. I didn’t stood a chance.

My Boys!
WTF was my favourite read of the Elite series so I of course was thrilled to listen to it. The extra depth and emotions you get from an audiobook is why I love to both read and listen to my favourite books. Both narrators portrayed Win and Lars so beautifully, I felt all the feels and I was sad when it finished, I could have listened to hours more!

The best of the series yet!
This was by far my favorite of the series! I loved Win and Lars’s connection and how Wes and Max just took Lars right in and gave him an instant family. I also think the “suspense” portion of the plot was the most well developed and realistic of the first four books. It was a very thoughtful representation of the domestic abuse that Lars suffered from his ex. In his words “…how someone gets tangled up so deeply in a web they don’t know how to escape.” And I loved that instead of being the “hero”, Win offered Lars the support he needed to be able to stand on his own two feet. The only thing I wish we had a bit more of was their time in Sweden and how they went from frenemies to lovers, those flashbacks seemed like they needed to be expanded just a tad. But otherwise both the story & narration were superb!

More Elite Greatness! Awesome Story & Narration🎧
I am loving Cambria Hebert’s “Westbrook Elite” series, the characters and storylines are fantastic. Each book in the series features a member of the Elite swim team and stands on its own, but characters crossover into each other’s books and knowing their back story is not only beneficial, but seeing them again is like seeing old friends. That said, everything you need to know is in the details so you will never feel lost or if something is missing. This fourth book is Win and Lars’ story and I knew I was going to love it as soon as Winston landed in Sweden, went looking for his ride, and found Lars, not holding up a sign with his name on it. Win is an exchange student studying abroad for the semester, Lars, a student on the swim team whose coach told him he was getting a roommate for the semester. Lars did not want to share a room, had requested one to not have a roommate, so he was not happy about it. But Win, being who he is, won Lars over, so he was there to stay. I enjoyed how their story was told, with reflections of his time in Sweden and the present day with Lars transferring to Westbrook and joining the Elite. We get some more of Wes and Max, Win’s brothers, too. There is never a dull moment in this book and the story is captivating from start to end. The writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. It was great to see the camaraderie amongst the Elite team members again and how they have each other’s backs. Win and Lars’ story was not always an easy one, both had their own inner demons and Lars’ past coming back to haunt and hurt him, but love prevails in the end. This wonderful romance novel has it all, drama, angst, some Elite humor, some thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and some hot loving. Cambria Hebert, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Evan Henderson and Michael Norman Johnson did a fantastic job bringing these characters and story to life. Their character voices were fitting and so was their portrayal of them, giving each their own voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, humanizing them, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance enhanced the already amazing story to another level. Thank you for this fabulous listen.

My Thoughts on WTF
4.5 of 5 stars
If it wasn’t official before it definitely is now. I love this series. This author writes such heart and heat and humor into every one of these stories. This time there was also danger in the form of domestic violence. Plus a very serious subject she handled realistically and delicately. And I respected that she told it from a M/M point of view. I think too often people think it can’t happen to men, but this story was just one, albeit fictional, but plausible way in which it could. I loved that Win and Lars were able to find strength and healing in each other and their group of friends though and this had the fantastic ending it deserved.
The narration was pretty good too. My only complaint was that I wanted an actual Swedish accent not just to be told Lars was Swedish. Otherwise, I enjoyed both voices very much.
