FROM THE #1 BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB

A start of a series.

An iconic detective duo.

And a thrilling murder to solve . . .

Steve Wheeler is enjoying retired life. He does the odd bit of investigation work, but he prefers his familiar habits and routines: the pub quiz, his favourite bench, his cat waiting for him when he comes home. His days of adventure are over: adrenaline is daughter-in-law Amy’s business now.

Amy Wheeler thinks adrenaline is good for the soul. As a private security officer, she doesn’t stay still long enough for habits or routines. She’s currently on a remote island keeping world-famous author Rosie D’Antonio alive. Which was meant to be an easy job . . .

Then a dead body, a bag of money and a killer with their sights on Amy have her sending an SOS to the only person she trusts. A breakneck race around the world begins, but can Amy and Steve stay one step ahead of a deadly enemy?

Another masterpiece from Richard Osman

Loved every second of this. As with Richard’s other books, he kept you guessing until the last minute whodunnit, even if you thought you may have had the right answer you probably didn’t. Loved the characters and the use of different locations. I hope this is the first in a long series of We Solve Murders books.

Wonderful characters

I wasn't sure The Thursday Muder Club could be equalled but I enjoyed this as much. The characters are so beautifully drawn, with all their little quirks. Even the bad guys have their good points. Thoroughly enjoyed the story and binge listened to it. Nicola Walker's narration was excellent.

What a cracking tale!

Such clever characters with whom we can emphasise. Quietly amusing but with some lovely twists. No spoilers, but much look forward to seeing Amt, Steve and Rosie again, if that’s possible!

Great start to a new series. As with the Thursday Murder Club this book is full of characters you really care about and I can't wait for book 2. Great narration too.

Promising new series with a lot of heart

The relationship between the three main characters is warm, weirdly believable (given their v different backgrounds) and really lovely. Looking forward to their next adventure. The audiobook narrative is brilliant - Nicola Walker is perfect.

Thoroughly entertaining

Such a difficult act to follow the TMC books. I needn’t have worried. Entertaining new characters, fun adventures, and all wonderfully narrated by Nicola Walker
