Summary

'Crime fiction at its best.' Keri Beevis

Why does someone want the Lawrence family dead?

The Lawrences were the perfect family: successful, beautiful and happy, until one night their whole world was ripped apart.

Detective Sergeant Jenna Morgan is called to investigate the suspected arson attack and death of the Lawrence family at the charred remains of their stunning home, Kimble Hall.

The case takes a sinister turn as the body count fails to tally.

Suspecting that someone may have survived the inferno, DS Morgan and her team need to discover whether they are looking for a witness, or someone far more dangerous.

Who set the fire? Who wanted this family extinguished beyond recognition?

As the case progresses, DS Morgan realises she has a calculating, cold-blooded killer on her hands, and the race is on to track them down before they kill again...

A gripping psychological crime novel from bestselling author Diane Saxon, perfect for fans of Cara Hunter.

Enjoyable , but….

Enjoyable, but too over-inclusive by the author. Every detail in the book is explained in its minutiae, like a fool’s guide. That part is really irritating.

Excellent

Another brilliant story, really like the main characters and the humour injected into the tale. This book really shows the unspoken connection between Jenna & Mason, that real life police need to trust your partner.
Keep them coming Diane!

Very dull.

I really struggled to finish this. A very obvious ending. The editor should really have advised the writer not to use the term 'hunkered down' quite so much. The second irritation was the detail coffee was discussed in throughout the first half. Just so much detail for what wasn't a good story. Sorry!

Great series

Discovered Diane Saxons books last year and loved every one I’ve read so far. I would highly recommend them and I’ve just finished the Jenna Morgan series on audiobook. You won’t be disappointed if you like a good detective series. Great characters that you just want to know more about, hopefully there will be many more books in this series 🤞. I also hope Ryan sticks around if there’s more books to come.

Fabulous but …

I was expecting the lead to the drugs side to carry on with the story. That said it was a fabulous book.

Disappointing

Good narration but the story literally had no point. More about food and drink than any kind of police drama. We knew who did it from the beginning, no suspense. Kept thinking there might be a twist or a link between the two crimes but no. wint rush to read another in the series.

Just Okay

I mean, I still don’t know why Mr Lawrence did what he did. Confusing much.

Still a good listen.

An ok story

An ok story, although it is a bit ploddy and repetitive in places and definitely a bit woolly. The narration was all rather reedy and probably didn’t do the story any favours at all.
