About this listen
‘This comforting memoir will help us all feel less alone as we navigate the emotional turmoil of midlife’ Davina McCall, author of Menopausing
From the bestselling author of ‘Mum, What’s Wrong With You?’ comes a witty, compelling, honest and reassuring guide to living a magnificent midlife.
If I was removed from the hurly burly of these overwhelming days, I would be able to patiently and logically think it all through. To untangle this conundrum. I would be able to find the thing I had lost. Probably the most important thing I owned. My identity.
Tackling everything from empty nest, career reinvention, sex, marriage, brain fog, burnout, perimenopause and menopause this laugh out loud memoir is a pathfinder for women whose messy midlife rage caught them by surprise. With advice from experts, celebrities and personal stories, the book will help women feel less alone as they embrace this liberating and transformational new stage of life.

Clarity & hope!
So much of this book resonated with my own experience & on going experience. It made me see things in a much better light, that there was hope at the end of it and that I’m not alone on the journey. Really enjoyed it. Made me laugh & cry and has helped me gain a better perspective on peri menopause.

I wish I'd read this sooner!!!
I believe I was meant to read this book as it has reassured me more than anything or anyone that I am not losing my mind in midlife! I wish I'd read it in my 40's as it would have helped answered so many worries I've had. It covers everything most midlife women experience and feel...... and I will be listening to it again this week I loved it so much! Thank you Lorraine for the enlightenment, education and entertainment! Highly highly recommend as so many tips!!!!

I needed this, absolutely revelatory, a mind-hug
A great balance between all the stages of midlife not just menopause and I have pocketed the phrase ‘weaponised incompetence’ !!! But it’s not a bloke hating rant …it’s a balanced and ultimately positive lens on this very peculiar and discombobulating time of change …I feel like I’ve got a new friend and shall be getting the paperback so I can stuff it in my non-underwires bra and be nurtured whenever and wherever I need it … yes it’s that important ! Thank you Lorraine

Brilliant
This book makes a lot of sense. OMG “the rage” - so that’s what it is! Wish Microsoft Teams had a rage delay function. A good listen - made me feel more normal.
