Summary

Books 10-12 of the Will Travel for Trouble series of short cozy mysteries!

Trouble at Pelican Penthouse, Book 10: Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, and her ghost companion, Ben, rent Pelican Penthouse - a beach house on a secluded stretch of the coast known as Fort Morgan.

The serenity of the isolated beach is soon broken by the sounds of four-wheeled vehicles and a mysterious stench emanating from the cottage next door. On investigating the source of the smell, Minnie discovers something that breaks her heart. Death comes to more than just a human, and Minnie is compelled to solve the mystery of the casualties in Trouble at Pelican Penthouse.

Trouble at Island Castle, Book 11: Minnie and Ben are taking a break from solving mysteries with a bit of relaxation in Florida and a trip to Island Castle, a popular theme park.

But relaxation, being highly overrated, escapes the two as they discover that the moans, groans, and shrieks from the Creepy Castle buggy ride weren’t all fake. Someone didn’t make it out of the ride alive, and it wasn’t an accident!

Minnie swears she’s not going to get involved. She may have been on the ride, but she wasn’t the first to find the body...for once. But what Minnie says she’s going to do and what she really does are rarely the same thing as she determines to solve the mysterious death in Trouble at Island Castle.

Trouble at Yellowstone, Book 12: Minnie and Ben head to Yellowstone National Park. Bison, bears, wolves, elk, moose, antelope, and deer roam the valleys; bighorn sheep and mountain goats climb the hills; geysers spew fountains of steam and water; hot springs and mud pots abound! What’s not to like?

One tourist would be happy to tell you...if he were still alive. Minnie and Ben discover what’s left of that tourist and now must solve the trouble at Yellowstone!

Minnie and Ben

Will Travel for Trouble books 10-12 by Minnie Crockwell is a delightful listen. I so enjoy this paranormal cozy series. The books in this set do not disappoint. I love how the author has created very likable characters, and has a fun and original storylines, with mysteries at every stop. The books are standalone stories, yet Minnie and Ben remain constant companions. Michelle Babb is perfect for bringing the characters to life (even Ben and he's a ghost). I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator. I loved it!

Another Winner

Another nice set of books about Minnie the RV enthusiast and her ghostly sidekick Ben. The stories are very easy listening as nosey Minnie once again solves mysteries that are baffling the local cops. Ben her 200 year old ghost companion seems to be becoming more useful as he learns to assist Minnie in more tangible ways.... Highly recommended reads as once again Michelle Babb excels with her narrations. *****

Where only the brave dare to travel

Another great collection of short stories. I like the fact that this box set contains three very different stories that grab the imagination and are all quiet enjoyable. In this set you find Minnie's ghostly companion Ben changing and I loved the way that he was able to get more involved in the mysteries but In other ways else able to help, it adds a new twist to the stories. The mystery were good and I think this one is my favourite box set because I didn't guess the out come in any of the stories. I hope there are more books to come in the series.,
Trouble at Pelican penthouse Book one (book 10 in the series) five stars.
Unable to find a RV park for there next stop Minnie and Ben rent a cottage on the beach front, in an isolated section where the only companion should be the occasional seagulls. This does not prove to be the case, several times a young man drives up and down the quite stretch of beach on a four-wheel vehicle disturbing the tranquil setting. On edge Minnie goes for a walk to calm down and is hit by a horrendous smell coming from the nearest beach house property. Unable to ignore it she investigates and find herself phoning for the police. Someone has been killing sharks but it is the body found in the actual house that really gets the police's attention. Who killed him and why? Minnie and Ben set out to investigate.
Trouble at Island castle book 2 (book 11 in the series) five stars
Moving on from her troubles Minnie vowels to enjoy herself at the nest stop on her travels by visiting a theme park. Even there the screams of joy quickly fade away with cries of tear when a teenage girl dies on the Creepy castle buggy ride. This time when it is proved she didn't die of natural causes the suspect pool is small and In fact Minnie has a hard time picturing how a kill could get close to the girl while on the ride and with out been seen. Can Ben put his ghostly talents to good use and get close to the answers before the girls family kill each other?
Trouble at Yellowstone book three (book 12 in the series) five stars.
Minnie is excited to see animals in there natural inhabitants and is hoping to see some wolves or bears. However one guest gets to close to some bison and is killed. Luckily Minnie was on hand to watch the whole event, she wasn't able to save the man but at least she can convince the rangers it wasn't an accident. Determined to still enjoy her time Minnie visits the rest of the local attractions in the area and keeps running into a number of suspicious people. Is one of them the person she saw running away from the scene? I think for sure the geysers aren't the only things about to erupt.
Michelle Babb is a great choice for the narrator of this series. She does a good job with all the voices throughout the whole series and even needed to do some accents in one of the stories making it that much more enjoyable and definitely like you were out traveling around meeting new people.

I felt like the luckiest woman alive.

Michelle Babb returns again to reprise her excellent performance as Minnie Crockwell, the accidental sleuth, in Will Travel for Trouble, books 10 - 12. The unfortunate woman with a nose for homicide seems able to attract death wherever she goes as she moves around the United States in her R.V., accompanied only by Ben, the friendly ghost (now becoming slightly more corporial) and the two pink p!attic flamingos she stands outside of the trailer door.

Book 10: Trouble at Pelican Penthouse.
Minnie has hired a beach front cottage near Fort Morgan in Alabama, with stunning views over the sea. But her bliss is interrupted first by someone illegally driving a quad bike across the beach then, later, by an excruciating smell coming from a nearby bungalow....

Book 11 (commencing section 13): Trouble at Island Castle.
It is now March, and Ben and Minnie are shocked by a loud scream penetrating the recorded screams in the Creepy Castle ride they were almost enjoying at the Island Castle Park. The screams were those of a young woman, covered in blood, as she held her dead sister. Despite her best efforts, Minnie seems fated to get involved

Book 12 (commencing section 25):Trouble at Yellowstone.
A new R.V. smaller than.her previous trailer but still difficult to park. Minnie is hoping to see a wolf in the great open vistas of Yellowstone so she has her binoculars at the ready. Instead, she sees someone bored by a bull bison, pushed into it's path by two unidentified figures. Yet again, Minnie is unintentionally caught up in another homicide.

This is a really fun series which not only has the deliciously developed Minnie Crockwell character - nosey, not brave but often at the centre of dispute despite her growing attempts to avoid being involved, but also gives the reader an interesting who-dun-it? murder mystery, glorious scenery from her travels from camp site to parking place as the months roll last together with interesting little facts about the areas, and a gentle growing romance with her untouchable and invisible travelling companion, the ghostly Ben. Narration is good, Ms.Babb becoming the beleaguered Minnie, reading with weary emotion of animated excitement as the text dictates, as well as giving individual voice to all of the other protagonists. Fine performance and a pleasure to hear.Fine

My thanks to the rights holder of Will Travel for Trouble, set 4, who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy. I have enjoyed all of this series so far and hope there will be more to come. Recommended to all who enjoy fun, cozy mysteries and the adventure of travel.
