About this listen
From the master of suspense, a fierce thriller of terrorism, murder and revenge.
In Jack Higgins’ acclaimed bestseller Dark Justice, intelligence operative Sean Dillon and his colleagues in Britain and the United States beat back a terrible enemy, but at an equally terrible cost. One of them was shot, another run down in the street. Both were expected to survive – but only one of them does.
As Detective Superintendent Hannah Bernstein of Special Branch lies recuperating in the hospital, a dark shadow from their past, scarred deep by hatred, steals across the room and finishes the job. Consumed by grief and rage, Dillon, Blake, Ferguson and all who loved Hannah swear vengeance, no matter where it takes them. But they have no idea of the searing journey upon which they are about to embark – nor of the war which will change them all.

Hard work
I don’t normally do bad reviews but I’m sorry to say that although I love the Sean Dillion series and they make for a great “read” this narrated version is in my mind truly shocking.
Dillon talks in the weirdest of gay Irish accents, Ferguson sounds like the most proud Queen ever. The Salters.mostly sound like thick moronic cave men. Poor old Ropper just sounds strange. As for the over the top Russian accents, well they are like a Westend farce. Utterly ridiculous., as are most of the other characters we meet along the way.
Maybe a couple of other narrators would have helped to some degree.
I will continue to read the books in this series but will never waste money on the audible versions.

A good story but not one of the best
Found the novel not up to Jack Higgins usual 10/10. The narration always excellent by J. Oliver but found the storyline a little to fickle.

Excellent as always
Interesting, engrossing, just about believable story. Moves at a good pace. Brilliant performance. All in all a good listen.

I love the series, but this one is boring, it feels like Jack has run out of ideas
