Halloween is Avery Shaw’s favorite time of year. What’s not to love? Slasher movies, hot chocolate, and corn mazes. She’s addicted to them all. During a visit to one of those mazes, she runs across several men trying to kidnap a teenage girl. In true Avery fashion, she intervenes...resulting in a severe injury. While she’s on the mend, she starts tracking information on a group of people working in the area.

Avery Shaw has taken on her fair share of jerks. Often, she’s considered the jerk when she takes them down...a role she gladly relishes. Now, though, she’s taking on a whole faction of jerks. It seems a battle of the sexes is brewing in Macomb County. A local shock jock, a man who believes women should be home tending children and keeping the house clean while men bring home the bacon, is on trial for sexually harassing his underlings.

Great-Aunt Tillie is selling wine at the curb of The Overlook - like it's a lemonade stand - and her mother and aunts are about to burn someone at the stake. Unfortunately, it's up to her and cousin Bay to put out the fire. When the two cousins take a stand, they're interrupted by the arrival of an injured and dazed little girl. She won't speak, and she appears to have undergone some sort of trauma.

Senior year is finally here, and Zoe is ready to move forward. She and her werewolf boyfriend Aric are back on solid ground, and Zoe is ready to finish what she started - both academically and personally. The Academy is still in operation, but their leadership is listless and Zoe is steering clear. She has new roommates, and new drama, but all Zoe is focused on is getting out of Covenant College alive.

Zoe Lake is depressed. Well, at least that's what everyone keeps telling her. As she enters her junior year, she feels more numb than anything else . Between the guilt plaguing her over her former roommate's death, and the betrayal crushing her heart thanks to her ex-boyfriend Aric, Zoe is struggling to make sense of her world. Zoe finally agrees to join the Covenant College monster hunters and enlists in the Academy. The problem is, she doesn't trust them any more than she trusts the monsters they purport to hunt.

Christmas is here, but the Winchester witches aren't exactly teeming with good cheer. Well, they are, but it's not the sort of Christmas cheer Aunt Tillie wants waiting for her under this year's tree. When Aunt Tillie finds out her great-nieces want to separate for Christmas Day - forgoing the family's annual tradition - she decides to teach them a little lesson. Of course, since she's Aunt Tillie, her dose of retribution comes in the form of her favorite holiday Christmas stories.

Michigan's most calamity-prone grim reaper is in a pickle, and the only one she can trust with a haunting secret is her boyfriend Griffin. Aisling is determined to find answers before she unloads a truth on her family, but when things become dangerous, Aisling's life is in jeopardy, again. The wraiths are back, and their primary goal appears to be getting their hands on Aisling. They've enlisted other supernatural help this time, and when gargoyles literally start dropping from the sky, Aisling has no choice but to be honest.

Deep down inside, Zoe Lake-Winters knew that she hadn't yet bid goodbye to Covenant College. The realization that the final fight will be fought at the place she thought she would never see again isn't lost on her. Still, she has no choice. Her family comes first and she's out of options. Another attack on Sami Winters forces Zoe and Aric to embrace the inevitable. They pack up their kid and courage and join together with friends to return to a forgotten campus located smack dab in the middle of Michigan and a dark forest full of secrets and trouble.

Avery Shaw is in a funny spot. Her best friend is pregnant, her cousin's girlfriend is up to something, and her boyfriend has serious issues on the brain. When teenager Sierra Jackson goes missing, Avery is in a unique position to scoop everyone. The girl's fighting family is more concerned with a messy divorce and pointing fingers than helping find Sierra, so Avery becomes obsessed with discovering her whereabouts on her own.

The Winchester witches are in a tizzy. Sam Cornell’s parents are coming to town, and Clove is beside herself. Meeting her boyfriend’s parents is a big deal. It doesn’t help that her cousins can’t stop making fun of her, which is the Winchester way, of course. In addition to the Cornells' imminent visit, the Winchesters are also dealing with Sam’s new tanker. An afternoon visit knocks Bay for a metaphysical loop with ugly visions of a tragedy long since forgotten - by everyone but the dead.

The primary election is almost here, and Avery Shaw is in her glory. Her boss has unleashed her on the leading candidates - including two of whom she downright loathes - and Macomb County's leading reporter (and pot-stirrer extraordinaire) is about to turn the election on its ear. She just needs to find a story first. When her nemesis, Tad Lancaster, loses a volunteer, Avery sniffs out a bigger story...or at least she thinks she does. She has a pile of documents, too many insidious ideas to wrangle, and a long-suffering boyfriend who can do nothing but shake his head.

She's officially moved to her dream house, and her boyfriend Eliot Kane is making her host a housewarming party to show off the new digs to her family. All is going well–other than the endless arguments over food and hiding from Avery's family, of course–until one of Avery's enemies comes calling.

Avery's former boyfriend Jake Farrell broke up with Cara Carpenter weeks before but she's still stalking him.... and Avery in the process. When Cara turns up dead at a high-profile event, not only is Jake a suspect, but Avery and Eliot are, too.

When the duo stumbles across a body at a local festival, Eliot has to force Avery to ease up on the suspicion and embrace the vacation decadence. She's out of her coverage area, after all, and she's supposed to be taking it easy.

Zoe Lake and Aric Winters are ready to say "I do". They've fought sphinxes, witches, and monster hunters - and all they want now is peace. Unfortunately, that's not so easy to find. When the wedding planners - and warring mothers - descend on their happy home, Aric and Zoe are plunged into a world they never expected.

When you compound that with Grandpa and Mario's new business venture - they're running a traveling food truck and taking it to local high schools - Avery's tenuous grasp on reality is starting to fray.

It's the winter of 1995, and the Winchester household is more doom and gloom than mistletoe and merriment. Young Bay, Clove and Thistle are anything but happy. They're facing their first Christmas without their fathers, and no matter how hard their mothers try, they just can't seem to get the girls to embrace this festive time of year.

Marnie is planning the Winchester family's annual solstice celebration - and it's a lot of work - but the real work comes when niece Bay sees a ghost and Aunt Tillie declares war on her meddlesome great-nieces. Marnie has to find a way to keep the solstice celebration on track - and no one is up to the task of helping. The curses are flying fast and furious, and Marnie is running out of time to help a forgetful ghost move on, find her missing magic supplies and prove she should've been the boss all along.
