Overcoming Low Self Esteem

Low self-esteem can make life difficult in all sorts of ways. It can make you anxious and unhappy, tormented by doubts and self-critical thoughts. It can get in the way of feeling at ease with other people and stop you from leading the life you want to lead. It makes it hard to value and appreciate yourself in the same way you would another person you care about.   

Too many people miss out on life-changing opportunities because of a dire shortage of self-confidence. Don't let that person be you. 

Chronically low self-esteem seems to be one of the biggest reasons for people of all ages to be unable to reach their potential. No matter what advantages or disadvantages they are given in life, people who have a poor view of themselves tend to stay stuck and are unable to move forward with confidence. At its core, poor self-esteem is an issue of identity. Lack of self-confidence has less to do with your own abilities and talents than it has to do with how you see yourself and your own worth and value.
