About this listen
Lingerie designer Alicia Clarkson just had to open her stupid mouth. Now, thanks to trying to defend a fellow pack mate, Alicia's been blindfolded, tied up, and carted off to the new alpha of the Oregon pack - Gavin MacKellen.
However, the blindfold doesn't come off so soon as Gavin reveals he's searching for a mate. But Alicia's curiosity gets fired up when Gavin refuses to reveal his face to her. Just what happened to him? He talks to her from shadowy corners and behind closed doors. The man is as elusive as a squirrely fox. But Alicia doesn't play games and the quiet spoken, hoarse-voiced alpha doesn't stand a chance against her. They settle on an agreement, thirty days for them to get to know each other because that's the only way this cowboy alpha will have it.
Gavin MacKellen needs a mate. But he knows no good woman would ever want to look at his face after the incident he suffered. After one look at Alicia Clarkson, all his plans fly out the window. The woman's beauty has stunned him damn near speechless. She torments his thoughts and Gavin finds himself yearning to know everything about her. As a relationship forms and love threatens to grow between them, Gavin struggles to cope with his physical appearance in the face of the beautiful Alicia. Will she be the one to stand in the face of a monster and accept him or will she turn her back on him?

Shifter fairy tale
Any additional comments?
When Alicia is blindfolded and carted off to a new pack, she doesn’t know what to expect. Her first thoughts are of escape and her next are to uncover the mystery of the pack’s alpha but as the story unfolds, she finds her life is in great danger and not from the alpha.
Gavin is intrigued by Alicia, one of the women sent to be his prospective mate. She has more spirit than anyone he’s ever met and her beauty is beyond compare. Her attempts at escape are soon replaced by her desire to see his face and he will do anything to stop that happening.
This is the shifter equivalent of the fairy tale Beauty and the Beast. Gavin is the honourable but destroyed beast and Alicia is beauty with a fierce independence and desire to be free. The external interruptions slow down the chance of romance, drawing it out and giving the story a depth that would have been otherwise lacking.

Oh what a great book!
Where does The Loneliest Alpha rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book ranked a lot higher than I initially thought it would and by the end I was totally hooked. There's lots of passion, twists and turns, action and people with believable flaws and faults.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Loneliest Alpha?
When the lead female Alicia puts the drop on the Alpha male Gavin MacKellen. When female lead role Alicia dances and sings to music with her earphones on oblivious to the sound or its affect on others(Good Girl). How jaded and damaged the male lead Gavin MacKellen is about his appearence.
Which character – as performed by Jeffrey Kafer – was your favourite?
I hadn't had the pleasure of hearing Jeffrey Kafer's narration work before listening to this book. I was astounded by the many different male characters he portrayed, however, I would have preferred a female narrator to be the voice of the female roles. That said I did enjoy the book and eventually got used to Jeffrey Kafer in all of the roles, my favourite was Gavin MacKellen I dont know how Jeffrey Kafer managed not to damage his vocal cords permanently, it was a great performance.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Oh yes although as a rule I dont usually burst into tears at the drop of a hat, my lovely Hubby was very concerned when I sat with tears rolling down my cheeks as I continued to listen to this book.
Any additional comments?
I must say this book has a great plot, even better twists and turns in the story and lots of passion. I'm truly looking forward to the next book in this series from this author ...Please Audible Hint Hint Hint

Great story
This was a simple story with some twists and turns
The characters dynamics were easy to understand although there were characters that I didn't understand weren't dealt with earlier
But it is a great read
