Harry Oxford

Harry Oxford was born and brought up a few miles from Stratford upon Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace. He grew up wanting to be an actor, but became a band booker and concert promotor, working with such bands as The Who, The Rolling Stones and Black Sabbath, Barclay James Harvest and The Dog that Bit People. Harry acted as a market operator and showman for nearly thirty years until his retirement. He employed many jesters, fools (sometimes in the back office/1) jugglers, mime artists and gave away many tens of thousands of free face paintings and tens of thousands of free fairground rides to children. He is happily married for over thirty years and has one son, two daughters, and seven grandchildren. Harry loves animals, especially bears, and supports Bear Rescue and www.animalsasia.com.
