Ruth Goldfinger Golomb, LCPC, is a senior clinician with the Behavior Therapy Center of Greater Washington. She completed her graduate studies at the University of Maryland. She has treated adults and children with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), tic disorders, attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), social anxiety, trichotillomania and other body focused repetitive disorders (BFRB) since the mid-1980’s and is a member of The TLC Foundation for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors Scientific Advisory Board. Ms. Golomb regularly attends and presents workshops for local and national conferences on topics including hair pulling, skin picking, OCD, cognitive behavioral treatment for anxiety disorders and treatment for sensory dysregulation coupled with anxiety disorders. She is an author of “The Hair Pulling Habit and You: How to Solve the Trichotillomania Puzzle,” “Stay Out of My Hair,” “A Parent Guide to Hair Pulling Disorder: Effective Strategies for Children with Trichotillomania,” "Psychological Interventions for Children With Sensory Dysregulation,."
