Summary

Interesting but over done.
Although I did enjoy the plot, I had figured out the twists earlier on. However I suspect it wasn’t written to be used as a deep thinker novel. The “spice” scenes on occasion didn’t fit in to the what was happening with in the story at times and I found that a little jarring, a few times they felt just completely unnecessarily thrown in, just because. Again, it threw me out of the plot. Listening to the “Scarlet” chapters was good, read well, enunciated, confident easy to follow however I found “Quinn” read as bratty and immature, childish and spiteful, which carried through the entire story, I didn’t connect well with the character because of it unfortunately. Over breathy and sometimes very whiny. I’ll be reading the physical book to see if the experience is different to the audio. Overall it was an okay distraction for a few hours.

Wow!
I’ve had this book on my read list for quite a while now and I regret not reading it sooner. I absolutely loved it! The humour, story and spice were all a perfect mix. The voice actors did an amazing job too. Can’t wait to start book 2!

AMAZING! 💯
This is a fantastic storyline that it is about magic, honour and Steamy hot spice, with more spice added just to make it super hot. 🔥🔥🌶🌶 🤪
AN enemies to lovers scenario that leads them into dangerous situations and falling in love that little bit more as they battle through to win the prize.
The narration is excellent and so well done that the story is fabulous to listen to. 🎶 👏
Such a beautiful fantastic story that I definitely recommend it and can't wait for the next instalment. ❤️🔥

fantastic book
fantastic book from start to finish. I don't have a bad thing to say about this book. it keeps you hooked on every word, good spicy bits, I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series.

Love This!!!
I’ve read this book a couple of times now but listening to it was a whole different experience! I really enjoyed it, makes it feel so much more immersive. And the spice 🥵. Really well done! Can’t wait to hear the other books in this series.

Amazing! So easy to read and hot af
Recently, I had given up on fantasy books because they start to introduce 1,000,000 different characters, religions, races, countries etc and I often got completely lost at who’s who (like newer SJM or Brandon Sanderson).
However, this book has kept true to narrative, only introducing key characters and key information and keeping things really engaging. The chemistry between characters is so well described that I could instantly relate as a WLW. The sex scenes are frequent, detailed and just long enough that you’re satisfied- there’s no ‘fade to black’ nonsense.
The performance was brilliant as well, it really helped to cement this is a fantasy world full of cocky, fighting women! Brilliant stuff. Already bought book 2!
