Summary

This is the story of the Honourable Guinevere Dilberne, daughter of Arnold, 11th Earl of Dilberne, Sandra Sinclair and Rita Boniface. Yes, that's right. Three parents. Or, in fact, four, if you wish to count Sandra's husband Clive. Though he played little part in it. It all begins with a loving couple, their interfering neighbour, a test tube and a turkey baster. These days, anything can happen....

Great

I have received so much via Fay’s writing over the years, I feel grateful to her. I have collected most of her books since she began writing them - beginning ‘I think’ with, The Fat Woman’s Joke?
After the Peace, was not a disappointment to me. I found it full of the usual humour and incredible particular knowledge concerned with progeny, procreation, and gene, behaviour. Maybe the plot was a tad repetitive, which I was able to over look because of the wonderful vocabulary and structure of the whole piece. Fay is 10 years older than me, I only hope that she will continue to be a shinning light to us oldies. Thank you, Fay Weldon.
