Summary

Agatha goes digging where she shouldn't...

Agatha is taken aback when she finds a new woman ensconced in the affections of her attractive bachelor neighbour, James Lacey. The beautiful Mary Fortune is superior in every way, especially when it comes to gardening - and with Carsely Garden Open Day looming, Agatha feels this deficiency acutely.

So when Mary is discovered murdered, buried upside down in a pot, Agatha seizes the moment and immediately starts yanking up village secrets by their roots and digging the dirt on the hapless victim. But Agatha has an awkward secret too . . .

Cheesy, but in a good way!

Only discovered Agatha last week whilst browsing in the "Deals", wanting something to fill in before my next credit applied. I've now listened to the first three books in the series and am addicted! So very easy to listen too. Witty and well read. The stories are so cheesy they are delightful!

Cosy ,predictable ..perfect for an easy listen.

Agatha Raisin is perfect for a relaxing listen. I love a good crime story ,dark and grisly is great! ...That said ,sometimes I want a "cosy " whodunnit ,and Agatha always does the job. Penelope Keith is sublime.

A pleasant way to spend an afternoon!

Agatha Raisin is still growing older disgracefully; an inspiration to us all. Made even more delightful by the inspired reading by Penelope Keith.

Series still enjoyable

This series continues to be easy listening. Good narration, easy but entertaining plots and good characters has resulted in me getting book after book. I’d recommend this as well as the first three.

Penelope's Back

I Love Penelope's Voice, the snooty, upper crust, posh lilting sound of it. Sent shivers up my spine in my younger years... Could never explain why I had a crush on her.

But enuff of confusions, back to the book. Well maybe not. Because of Spoilers. If I say why I enjoyed it so, I will have given away a big plot spoiler. So with a little bit of risk all I can say.

Is wait for it.

Love the series

Wonderful as always, a far cry from every day life and just delightful escapism in the not sure tranquil Cotswold countryside. Excellent transition in-between other terrific but challenging books. I'm gradually making my way through the series as I'm late to this very British party!

Agatha being Agatha

Great little tale of village life & its somewhat dark side. It's obvious who the 1 perp is but the mystery is the twist.
