About this listen
We all are worried about our parents, especially those who are living alone.
My parents are growing old, and I am stepping into that age. When I see my parents and how wonderful and happy they are, it inspires me to live a life like them. If I compare myself with them, they have a better and mature way of dealing with emotions and social conflicts. They have powerful intellectual and great problem-solving techniques and excellent knowledge regarding any field, whether it is politics, finance, social issues, parenting, or dealing with day-to-day life. Growing old is like a blessing for their relationship, coming together in a strong bond. They still fight and get angry. There is not a single day when they don't shout at each other, but I love to see them living a happy life and spending time together, which they hardly get in their adulthood. Despite some health issues, their slow walking, their being hard of hearing, their coughing and snoring, forgetfulness, breathlessness, joint pains, and back pains, I believe they are living a healthy life.
As I am stepping to that age, I started to think about how they are managing alone and how I am going to lead. We are not with them all the time, and neither are our kids going to be with us. This idea of a diary clicked to our mind to give aggregate information on growing old. To make a tourist guide booklet where space is provided to jot down the mindful checklist and record history of any related decline (early signs) while travelling into this age, including a home-exercise program. A recording will help us to check information related to our parent's journey as well as doctors, nurses, carers, and an emergency.
