About this listen

Rupert Lavery is a well-known conservationist. When he dies, his son, Kit, returns from 10 years in Australia to inherit a nature reserve in the heart of the British countryside. Kit finds the nature reserve and the two determined women who staff it are more trouble than they are worth.

Elizabeth Punch is single, middle-aged, and on a mission to save wildlife from inconsiderate mankind. Jess Wetherby has dyed orange hair, a nose stud, and aspirations to be a hunt saboteur.

But when he meets Jinty O'hare- the beautiful niece of the local Master of Foxhounds - he soon discovers that there is more charm to the Devonshire coast than he first realised.

Excellent as always

Another excellent audiobook from Alan Titchmarsh. I have listened to several and look forward to listening to all his other books. All his characters are different and I feel empathy with every one. Every story is original and well rounded. I especially love the way he ties up all loose ends at the end of each story. Long may he continue to write.

Good storyline

Another good story from Alan. If you like his previous novels you will like this one too. Some of his character scents whilst reading are a little dodgy, his Irish girl for example! A enjoyable book all the same.

Another brilliant story.

I love Alan's books. His stories have likeable characters that are feel real. This story is a look predictable but in a lovely romantic way. I loved the story and am going through all his library. Keep 'em coming lad.

WEAK story.

I think it is a weak story, but it
could be a good one compared
to the ones I read.
although it could be he's voice.
at first I thought he had a good
voice for this story. but as it went on, I thought he sounded
morbid. So I am not much help.

Not one for the feminists

The”hero” of this story leaps from one woman to another offering undying love. Bad luck for the one he ends up with!
