About this listen
A robbery on the rails. A gang in hiding. Can this psychic sleuth blow the whistle on a dangerous crew?
Mitzy Moon struggles to put snooping on the back burner and help launch the Duncan Restorative Justice Foundation. But her good-girl routine leaves the station after a deputy crashes the Grand Opening with a search warrant. And she’s full-steam ahead on the case when she discovers her father’s railroad is the target for a heist.
Never one to play it safe, Mitzy blatantly ignores the warnings of her entitled feline and risks everything. She even cons her interfering Ghost-ma into helping her with an alarming undercover plan. And now, she promises just a few more shifts at the seedy roadhouse, and she’ll have the crooks stopped in their tracks.
Can Mitzy pull off the double cross of a lifetime, or will more than her investigation be derailed?
Bars and Boxcars is the sixth book in the hilarious paranormal cozy mystery series, Mitzy Moon Mysteries. If you like snarky heroines, supernatural intrigue, and a dash of romance, then you’ll love Trixie Silvertale’s twisty whodunits.

Don't be robbed from a good mystery
I am so glad I discovered this series because I am loving it. I might have joined the series on book five but it is easy to follow along and the author does a good job introducing you the many and varied characters. I love Ghost Ma, the author has to much fun with this character and you can't help but laugh at her interfering antics. But she is just one of the many great characters found in this book. The main character is stubborn, resilient and feisty but not afraid to accept help when she needs it, just the way a main character should be. The love life is cute and despite all the problems you kind of hope it works out for them because you know there is never going to be a dull moment, I mean who else is going to put up with hair brained ideas that involve punching you boyfriend in the face? All that was fun but it was the mystery that I really liked. It had a number of twists
and I loved Mitzy going under cover at the bar. I can't wait for the next book and adventure.
When Mitzy walks in on her sort of boy friend cuddling another woman, she heard to the nearest bar to drain her sorrows. While there she over hears a conversation which leads her to going under cover behind the bar. A group of robbers target a railroad cars stealing high end items, three times before moving on. After they hit her father's business Mitzy puts on a short skirt and A southern accent to find the men responsible. At the same time a young boy goes missing with his father and Mitzy is asked to help find him. Can she find the boy, stop the thieves and pull a pint? Or is she putting her life in danger?
I liked the narrator. She does some really good voices and I loved the southern accent she gave Mitzy.

Always a pleasure!
As always I had a great time listening to Marlo narrate Silvertale highly enjoyable story. The quirky and witty Mitzy is perfectly brought to life by her voice.
The story itself is a little treat to consume under a comfy blanket with a steaming cup to keep you company. Highly recommended!!

What a great story
I am loving this series, it has so much to love., a feisty lead character, an interfering ghost relative, a superior feline, entertaining well written mysteries, a slow burn romance just beginning to heat up and dialogue with just the right amount of attitude . This story deals with train robbers, a sassy undercover assignment and a missing child. The narration is excellent bringing the characters to life. Loved it. I received a complimentary copy and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

Ten stars!
The opening drew me in right away: it took me like two sentences and I was ba-a-ack! Oh how I love this series. And this was even better than the others, how that is even possible I don’t know. Ten stars from me! I kept on reading way past my bedtime. Just couldn’t put it down. So good. The book I started after I finished this one paled in comparison, even though that was pretty good too, but this one was so good it leaves other books behind by a mile!
Mitzy has matured! Well, only a bit, so don’t worry! And oh-my-ghost I love Ghost-ma! But oh Mitzy, Mitzy, what have you gotten yourself into this time! She has such a talent for gettin’ into trouble! You gotta read this, y’all! (I know we’re talking almost-Canada, so if you want to understand this Southern phrasing, just read the book!)
The narrator is great, and really brings life to the story. She adds another layer to an already multi-layered story!
