Summary
In a marriage built on lies, the truth will destroy BOTH OF YOU.
Happy. Married. Missing.
Leigh Fletcher, devoted wife and stepmum, goes to work one day and never returns home.
Same week, different world...Kai Janssen leaves her sexy, wealthy husband and their luxurious penthouse, and vanishes into thin air.
Both husbands seem distraught, claiming they have no idea where their wives have gone.
DC Clements wants answers. Did these women run away or were they taken? Most importantly, where are they now? When the detective discovers a shocking link between the missing women, it’s clear the truth can devastate. Now Clements must work against a ticking clock, before both wives disappear forever.
The Sunday Times Number One bestseller Adele Parks returns with her most provocative book to date: Both Of You.

It doesn’t get any better, avoid.
Before I start it’s probably worth me pointing out that I don’t normally leave bad reviews. Usually if a book is bad I send it back.
I stuck with this book because I kept thinking ‘it has to get better in the next chapter’ it doesn’t, if anything the plot becomes increasingly stupid.
It’s as though the author had a few passable ideas but was in a hurry to get them onto a page. The plot is unbelievable and the editors haven’t sense-checked it. As the first lockdown is mentioned in the story I can only imagine that the author had promised to get a book to the publisher while trying to home educate three children.
In the hands of a more skilful writer the ideas could have been convincing, this is set in the real, but the story is unbelievable and just daft.
The narrator does a good job with the material available to them.
Don’t make the same mistake that I did. Don’t believe the hype.

Part porn part yawn,,,,!!!!
Absolutely dreadful book. I got to chapter 11 and could take no more. Chapter ELEVEN and still nothing has actually happened!!!!!
Both main characters were so unlikeable that I couldn't give a stuff about either of them. The narrator droned on and on with her annoying voice with a put on croak.
I usually enjoy books by Adele Parkes but this one was dreadful... I should have read the reviews first.
I returned the book and got my credit back!!!!
Don't waste your credit

I was so looking forward to reading Both Of You
I'm a massive Adele Parks fan, I've flown her flag on many, many occasions even convincing people at airports to purchase her latest book but this one is dire. Completely unbelievable, totally unreachable and basically a load of garbage. I'm sure authors when they reach a certain standard are paid to write a book every year but it would be better to wait for a great idea than to push out such rubbish. With so many new up-and-coming authors in the wings, I'm afraid the Queen of Suspense has definitely lost her crown with this one.

Disappointing.
Was able to guess far too early on who the kidnapper was. I couldn't invest in any of the characters. I found it somewhat "flat" ...but others may enjoy it. I've read worse, unfortunately.

Outstanding as always
Firstly, I don’t usually write reviews, if I don’t enjoy a book I bare in mind the author has ploughed everything they have into their work, some things are better left unsaid.........was a bit aghast at the other reviews. Hence now writing a review .
I’ve read a number of Adele’s books and have never been disappointed I’m glad to say that stands.
The story is gripping it twists and it turns and is full of intrigue and surprises/shocks, It’s compelling, and interesting that it was set within the “possibilities” of the beginning of lockdown. The characters were interesting I enjoyed learning enough about each of them to cast suspicion and intrigue. The story is exiting and believable. Unlike others I thought the ending apt, brief, but unlike others I personally enjoy that, I like being left to imagine what could happen next........ I think that’s the key to a fantastic read. I want to be left pondering.
Amazing work, can’t wait for the next one.

Not enough of an ending leave you needing more...
Love Adele Parks book and did enjoy this book, her writing is amazing but was so disappointed it didn’t have more to ending, was pretty obvious throughout who did it! Really needed a better round up. I told my friend who I always share recommendations, especially Adele parks books, not to bother with this one because ending to abrupt and frustrating!!!!
