Summary
Detective Superintendent Roy Grace is caught up in the murky world of human trafficking in Dead Tomorrow, by award winning crime writer Peter James.
The body of a missing boy is dredged from the seabed off the Sussex coast, missing vital organs. Soon after, two more bodies are found...
A teenager in Brighton will die if she does not receive an urgent transplant. When the health system threatens to let her down her mother takes drastic action and goes to an online broker in black-market organs. The broker can provide what she wants, but it will come at a price.
As Roy Grace investigates the recovered bodies, he unearths a gang of child traffickers operating from Eastern Europe. Soon Grace and his team will find themselves in a race against time to save the life of a young street kid, while a desperate mother will stop at nothing to save her daughter's life...
Although the Roy Grace novels can be listened to in any order, Dead Tomorrow is the fifth thrilling title in the bestselling series. Enjoy more of the Brighton detective’s investigations with Dead Like You and Dead Man's Grip.
Now a major ITV series, Grace, starring John Simm.

Awful narration!
As always, a good story by Peter James with facts meticulously researched! Narrator spoiled it.

Not just a detective - truly thought provoking
Story line is just brilliant and there's no point in trying to guess where the story is going to go. The subject matter is slightly harrowing when you feel for the victims and criminals alike (not all of them of course!). Highly recommended.

Thought provoking tale full of twists & turns
Currently reading series from Book One.
Kudos to Peter James for mentioning another crime series author, Val McDermid.
Negatives
Almost copy & paste sections regarding Sandy, NLP technique, description of Mortuary & Major Incident Suite.
Narrator - books 1-4 had a different narrator which I’d grown to like. Now all regular characters sound entirely different particularly Roy, Glen & Cleo.
Positives
Despite slow start, truly excellent story. So many great twists & turns.
Tackles a very dark side of humanity currently.
Loving the subtle clues, if reading in order.
Overall, intriguing, well researched & thought provoking crime novel.
Originally, bought Audible to help my insomnia but I can’t stop listening. Very hard not to keep extending the timer!!
Definitely recommend listening!
Off to start next in the series 📖

Top quality
I have enjoyed other books in this series, but had already seen the TV adaptation of this one so wasn't sure if it was worth the listen. But it really is, with the book having so much more depth and plot. Great stuff.

Good book... mostly
For the most part I enjoyed this book. The plot was interesting and the narrator did a good job. But... there was an extremely violent and gratuitous rape scene in the book, which had no impact on the plot at all. there was no need for it. I took off one star, poor taste and poor judgement to publish that!

Kept me listening from the beginning
im a fan of Peter James. The story unfolds at a great pace and apart from an instance in Roumania fairly near the beginning which I was uncomfortable with it was a great 'read'

good
Once again a really good book. I love the enthusiasm of the narrator but sadly he is not good at doing female voices, especially a moody, poorly teenage girl!
