Summary

The new instalment in the bestselling Norfolk Murders series!

A family’s secrets lie buried. The time has come to uncover the truth…

When a mud-splattered man staggers from Bacton Wood with a terrifying tale about being buried alive, DS Ashley Knight and her team are called in to investigate. Soon, another victim is found, and more men are missing – all with connections to the well-known Vialli family.

The Major Investigation Team find themselves attempting to untangle a case that stretches from Eastern Europe through to North Norfolk. Along with rookie detective, the whip-smart Hector Fade, Ashley is in a race against time trying to help a family who seem determined to take matters into their own hands. And when Ashley suspects there is a department rat, the stakes get even higher.

As the evidence continues to point in different directions, and as new victims are uncovered thick and fast, Ashley and Hector begin to fear they have finally met their match in a killer too ruthless and clever to be caught.

Bestselling Ross Greenwood is back with a breath-taking thriller, perfect for fans of Mark Billingham, Ian Rankin and Peter James.

I like the easy to listen to story

The story keeps you interested and not to gory.
The lead detective and her team are likeable, all in all a good story.
Looking forward to the next one.

Good but not Greenwood’s best!

I liked the first book, LOVED the second book, this one was okay… in the last book there was so much character development but in this book it’s barely there. First half of the book was a bit slow but I persevered and it does get better towards the end. I will read the next book in the series if there is one.

A whirlwind of a story

Certainly learned more than I expected in this book.
Looking forward to the next book in the series.
Now what can I share without handing out spoilers?

The story is well rounded; a rollercoaster of emotions and made me change direction so fast I got whiplash.
And did I mention I can’t wait for the next book… I don’t know how this author can write such horrible characters alongside side those whom I would love to be my friends… but that is what has been done.
Brilliant.

I enjoyed it

This book was performed perfectly,
No mispronunciation so 10/10 already. The story was fast paced and went off in many directions, sometimes it was difficult to keep up with all the details. I like the characters so I was pleased this book was as good as the last.

Worth the wait

The first book I have had in my wish list and looked forward to the release date. Loved being surrounded by the familiar characters again...another gripping, twisting plot bit also a comfort listen! That's an unusual Venn diagram but Ross has done it!
