About this listen
What is the scariest thing you can think of?
For me, it was overdosing at 27 years old in my friend’s basement at the end of a decade-long battle against my addictions.
In the years leading up to this, I had been reckless towards not only the people around me, but myself and my body. I was addicted to sex, alcohol, food, and drugs.
I was a hundred pounds overweight. I underperformed at work and at home. I spent my days on a high; I was a nobody living in an empty body. I was killing myself, yet I could not stop. I seemed to enjoy dying...
My near-death experience woke me up to the realities on ground. I was one of the lucky ones; many people get killed or fail to live thanks to their addictions.
My personal and professional experience helping addicts for the last 20 years are combined in Death to Addiction, to teach you:
- About the brain and how it gets addicted
- Why addictions occur
- Why you might be addicted to alcohol without knowing
- How drugs harm you
- How an eating addiction can grow
- Why sex addiction is more than what happens in bed
- The amazing benefits of healthy relationships
- The two superpowers I used to end hundreds of people’s addictions
- Why meditation and mindfulness are secret weapons for recovery
- The number one surefire way to put death to your addiction
- And so much more...
Putting death to my addictions by applying the strategies in this audiobook changed my life and will do the same for you.
Ask yourself: “What will my life look like 10 years from now if I don’t end this addiction today?”
Do you want to make a change in your life for the better? Do you want to learn how you can put an end to that addiction that’s been eating away at you daily?

Incredibly useful and practical tools
I loved how this book deliverers practical tools that you can put into place to overcome addiction. The author tells her story and provides facts about the various types of addiction. But what I loved most is she tells you HOW you can overcome your addictions.

Very dated outlook on addiction
I was hopeful that this book would bring up to date thinking into the arena but I spouts thoughts of disease and hereditary, this is no longer the professional outlook. It is a story of one woman's path to clean and sober but not the current medical professionals view on addiction. When recommendations came for 'group' therapy like AA and therapists using 'family forgiveness' it was confirmed that this book was experience and not health based. 'Submitting' to an authority figure, just another name for a 'higher power', didn't mention religion but it's a wrapped up version of an AA promotional campaign. I am glad it worked for her but would not recommend this as a self help.
