An Important Contribution to Ending the Fear-based Thought System

This is an extremely helpful book in showing in practical terms how to end our fear-based existence and live a life of freedom and happiness. To accomplish that we need to be open minded to change the way we think about ourselves, from mere physical bodies subjected to all manner of external effects to live consciousness that commands energy and power and can influence experiences. We also need to change the way we look at experiences themselves; instead of analysing and judging we can see them as learning tools providing us with vital feedback to learn and grow into who we desire to be. And while it seems like an immense feat to adopt a new thought system like that, Tom does not leave us stranded for the book is rich with helpful steps and tools, as well as scientific evidence, that are accessible to all while this mental change is taking place. A real gift to those who desire to live a happy life, which by necessity must be lived fearlessly.

A Powerful Guide to Mental Peace

There are only two macro emotions, pleasure, and pain. And with the exception of physical pain caused by trauma, for example, emotional pain is usually caused by fear, and when we are afraid, our solar plexus contracts preventing the body from getting the nerve energy needed to function optimally. As a functional nutrition practitioner, I fully understand how fear has so many physiological effects and is significantly linked to illness, not to mention, it's the number one culprit to unhappiness.

We all need a tool to get out of the cycle of fear and negativity. We must tend to our minds and fear is the number one issue to eliminate if you want to be healthy and happy, and Thomas Wakechild doesn’t disappoint. If you are riddled with negative thoughts, it is likely linked to fear, and the 7 R formula can change your life.

A journey towards a more peaceful existence

I stumbled upon the works of Thomas Wakechild due to my interest in A Course in Miracles and his in-depth knowledge and guidance of the Course. While ‘Ending Fear’ is not a Course study guide per se, it follows similar principles. Namely, the author sets out to change the reader’s perception from one characterised by intense fear to one aligned with love and inner peace. I’m sure you’ll agree, this is no easy task! Mr Wakechild presents his seven-step ‘7R’ forumula to alter one’s negative worldview, which he jovially describes as a ‘mental enema’ to ‘flush out’ fear-based conditioning.

The author shares his incredibly moving story of how he developed, and eventually overcame, a worldview defined by fear, dread, and poor self-image. He doesn’t underestimate how challenging it can be to question a deeply ingrained worldview, even (or perhaps, especially) if it is incredibly painful, but makes it seem very possible that we can live a peaceful life with a dramatically altered outlook. The author states that ‘to end fear, you must revolt against this past brainwashing’. His 7R formula truly allows the reader to break the bonds of fear that have been holding them captive, and gently introduce a new, more hopeful reality.

The author exposes how the ego’s thought fear-based thought system is developed and perpetuated, and how it can be overcome if only we are willing to make such a change. Ending Fear takes us on a journey from the development of intense fear to the adoption of a new, more adaptive, loving and peaceful outlook through forgiveness. In the book, fear is explored in great detail, with the aid of psychological studies, personal anecdotes and examples from quantum physics and scientific literature. The author has left no stone unturned in his pursuit of altering our perception!

Ending Fear enables the reader to recognise when they are identified with fear and make a different choice. Don’t be fooled, this is no easy task and it requires a level of awareness that fear underlies how you view yourself, the world and other people. However, I imagine that diligently following the 7R formula could have far reaching effects in one’s life, altering one’s perception from one of fear and negativity, to hope and joy. I recommend this book for those ready who, like me, recognise they have lived with fear for long enough, and willing to explore a radical alternative! In addition, the narrator for this audio version has a clear and pleasant voice. I find this makes a difference when listening to and enjoying the material.

Mental Strength and Fearless

Very well narrated and jam-packed with vital information that can improve your mental strength. Listening to this book has taught me to deal with my fear / nerves, and almost convert that negative energy into something positive and powerful. I always got so nervous and scared before one of our rugby matches but now, ive learnt to control that fear and channel it to the game

Great Book

Fear has been one of my biggest inhibitors for a very long time and this book has helped me better understand my fears and how to overcome them so that I can move forward in life.

A Bible on positive practices to eliminate fear

I have totally enjoyed this book by Tom Wakefield. Brilliantly written and narrated, thought provoking, fully comprehensive, no fluff wealth of information.

I have learned a lot such as being a Learner, not an earner, living in unconditional love instead of fear, in a society governed by fear. The book brilliantly relates and thoroughly explains to how society holds us back by teaching us what to think and not how to think, this keeping us slaves to thoughts of lack and incompetence.

The book goes deeply into the fact and ideas of our perception being the key to our happiness, so looking deeper into how we see ourselves is the first step towards freedom. Questioning, is our self talk about guilt or is it about how do I self correct evolve and become better?

I love the revelation that each of us is on their own PERFECT path to fearless awakening. Each of us is given all the time we need and all of us will arrive safely to our destination. I total enjoyed the depth of teaching how to get through and to this destination.

The guilt and shame just falls away when we understand from this book that we are all being the most loving we can be as we are all trying to minimise our fear in the best way we know how. The full realisation that I would act in the same way if I were in someone else's shoes was profound and dramatically helps us to see each other in a loving light.

There are so many beautiful inspiring lessons divulged that raise our self consciousness, change our perception and help shape new beliefs to empowers us to the truth within us.

Understanding that my function is forgiveness and purpose is to love is liberating with the knowledge there are no victims, only willing volunteers gives new meaning to everything I do and experience. With fear diminishing, I am feeling the changes in my thought processes already. This is a book I don't mind picking up time and again as the lessons are timeless and revealing.

I highly recommend reading and allowing the information to be absorbed, so fear may dissipate and you may be transformed and emerge as a beautiful butterfly 🦋 fearless and free.

The narrator did a brilliant job bringing across the message in a direct, strong and engaging manner. I enjoyed the listen. 💜💜🦋

What great book. It can be a spiral effect getting dragged into workplace politics, clicks and energy vampires. This book looks at various angles an individual may come across on the work place that can cause stress, burnout and emotional disturbances. It’s give great tips on how to deal with each situation. A great resource to help anyone rise and maneuver the workplace, to express yourself without getting picked on, having great productivity, staying strong and getting the support you need and staying balanced. The book covers many topics such as stay around from negative people, avoid HR, respecting yourself and having self compassion, managing set back, dealing with failure, embracing your emotions, take responsibility, finding solutions , learn from mistakes, creating goals, taking risks and so much more. Very recommended.
