Summary
Ruthless. Arrogant. Ice cold.
Everyone warned me that the CFO of McCord Media was a nightmare to work for. I knew it going in, but I figured I could keep my head down and stay under Cole McCord’s radar.
I figured wrong.
Because a month before I started as his assistant, Mr. Ruthless and I spent one scorching hot night together in bed.
In my defense, I had no idea that the gorgeous stranger I hooked up with at my girlfriend's birthday party would turn out to be my new boss. But company policy forbids work relationships, so it’s strictly business from now on.
If only we could stop falling into bed together.
If only he didn’t make me feel things I’ve never felt before.
If only he wasn’t keeping a secret that could destroy us both.
Author's note: Fall Into You is a standalone romance with dark themes and spicy bedroom scenes intended for mature listeners only.

Erm...
Book 2 in the Morally Grey Series follows Cole & Shay. Cole is Callums brother (mmc from book 1) he is dark, broody and closed off with everyone. Shay is out with her friends after breaking up with her cheating ex and looking to kick-start the getting over him process by getting under someone else... enter Cole. They have a banter & honesty filled conversation that instantly forms a interest and connection between them that leads to a intense and spicy ONS, they go their separate ways and a month later Shay starts a new job and wouldn't you know... Cole just happens to be her new boss.
There is a lot of push and pull between these two, the push mainly being from Cole as he has reasons for not wanting to attach himself to anyone but when it comes to Shay he can't seem to help himself. I'm struggling to rate these books as I have enjoyed them but they are missing something.... the stories and characters don’t feel as deep or as fleshed out as the authors other works do. They are still full of the great snark, banter, humour and spice that I expect in her books but the emotion/connection/depth of the story just isn't quite hitting the mark for me. Having this one be dual POV helped a bit with my ability to connect to and understand the MMC compared to in the firs bookt but even then it lacked something I'm struggling to fully articulate. I liked both Cole & Shay's characters even if at times I wanted Shay to let Cole chase her more & considering the title of this series is Morally Grey I wish we had seen more of that in Coles character as a whole. The ending felt very rushed and abrupt to me, considering what was going on in the book at that point it all got wrapped up very quickly which lost the emotion behind it and the opportunity for some extensive grovelling by the MMC. Overall I enjoyed this but I'm left feeling indifferent because of the reasons above. 🤷♀️ 🌶🌶

Jacob Morgan’s narration!
I didn’t like the FMC’s character or the voice of the lady who narrated her. The story was ok but I just wasn’t into it for some reason. Jacob Morgan is a brilliant narrator and carries the performance.
