About this listen
This book explains the nature of loneliness and the harm it brings on a societal and human level. It will also challenge you to let go of self-limiting beliefs that block you from opening up to others or seeking new associates.
What happens when “I prefer being alone”, or, “I enjoy my own space” becomes a lifestyle of isolation? When what started as a practice of self-care soon becomes social withdrawal? There is nothing wrong with being alone, especially when you desire to check-in with yourself or balance your social life with moments of silence. However, when you are always alone you expose yourself to the risk of becoming lonely.
Loneliness is an emotional state that is far more subtle than other emotions like anger or happiness. It is so subtle that you are hardly aware of it when it hits. It comes about as a result of being separated from others for an extended period. The lack of closeness or bonding with others causes you to feel somewhat melancholic.
The issue with loneliness is that it pervades every part of your being, causing a decline in your emotional, mental, and physical health. For example, not only will loneliness make you feel sad, but it can also lead to you adopting a negative self-perception or experiencing physical symptoms of stress, anxiety, and sleep deprivation.
It is time to CONNECT. Get up from your couch, reach out to a friend, and allow others to validate your existence. Contrary to what modern society believes, your social media followers do not count as real connections. While it is possible to be content alone, true happiness is found in the context of community and fellowship with others.
This book explains the nature of loneliness and the harm it brings on a societal and human level. It will also challenge you to let go of self-limiting beliefs that block you from opening up to others or seeking new associates. As a topping on the cake, you will also receive steps on how to build long-lasting connections that honor who you are and reinforce all your healthy boundaries!
Get ready to transcend loneliness and experience what it means to be a part of a community.

A must read for introverts
As a natural introvert, this resonated with me quite a bit. There is a difference between saying "I like some alone time", and then isolating yourself to the point of being a recluse. This book is perfect for those with social anxiety as well, or just for those that want to live life a little bit more
This book has a great tone and goes into detail about everything that is mentioned
Overall a lovely book
