About this listen

Driven into hiding in the French Pyrenees by the advancing forces of a new one-world government, Cardinal Leopold Amodeo receives a mysterious radio message from an unknown source in Northern Europe inviting him to a secret meeting. Fearful of a trap, and with time running out as a web of evil spreads across the globe, he must decide if he should leave the safety of his friends in an ancient Cathar sanctuary to travel alone into the far reaches of the north to meet with a man who may hold the key to their salvation.

In this, the fourth book in the God's Lions series, the non-stop action moves across the European continent as the cardinal and his dedicated team of scientists, code-breakers, archaeologists, and intelligence specialists join with others to face their greatest challenge yet in a climactic confrontation with an evil entity that has vowed to wipe them from the face of the earth.

Thought provoking, hope for mankind, God is always in control

Not tasteless, adventurous, liked the background luxury afforded the Chosen Ones in between they're quests, why not when you're fighting for the world! Very angled toward Catholisism. Liked the link-up between different faith paths. Series finished all too quickly. Good reads.

Worth a listen

Not my usual choice of audio books but I thoroughly enjoyed this Cardinal's caper.
Well researched, with some characters to both love and hate, I was captivated and hooked. The team's shenanigans making the daily drive to and from work a delight instead of a chore.
I found some parts a bit too convenient, but this was easy to ignore as the author pulled me along on a fabulous adventure.
Great work by the narrator whose range of character voices I found excellent and the easy way he switched between them was seamless.
Absolutely worth a listen.

Bloody brilliant books!

Not usually one to leave a review but I’m actually gutted to have reached the end of these books! The storyline and plot twists were great it kept me hooked through all 4 books- I found I was invested in each character and their story and how they evolved along the way! Can’t wait to read more from this author in the future! Highly recommended!
