Summary
The stunning third book in the sexy, action-packed Crescent City series, following the global bestsellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath.
Bryce Quinlan never expected to see a world other than Midgard, but now that she has, all she wants is to get back. Everything she loves is in Midgard: her family, her friends, her mate. Stranded in a strange new world, she's going to need all her wits about her to get home again. And that's no easy feat when she has no idea who to trust.
Hunt Athalar has found himself in some deep holes in his life, but this one might be the deepest of all. After a few brief months with everything he ever wanted, he's in the Asteri's dungeons again, stripped of his freedom and without a clue as to Bryce's fate. He's desperate to help her, but until he can escape the Asteri's leash, his hands are quite literally tied.
In this sexy, breathtaking sequel to the #1 bestsellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath, Sarah J. Maas's Crescent City series reaches new heights as Bryce and Hunt's world is brought to the brink of collapse - with its future resting on their shoulders.

Elizabeth Evans knocks it out the park
I’m not usually a fan of audio books but the CC books are so long that I’ve been drawn to them for this series. Elizabeth Evans is so talented and brings characters to life in a way that the book alone just doesn’t (IMO).
CC3 itself is action packed and I enjoyed it overall, but the Hunt/Bryce chemistry was utterly dull and should have been caught by the editors. There wasn’t enough breathing room between intense action scenes for character and relationship development. And I needed way more of Ruhn and Lidia.

Fantastic story telling
The story telling was well balanced, the narration was of a high standard. I found it very hard to stop listening I was so invested in the tale. Great ending to the series.

What an excellent book
This might be SJM's best work yet. From what I see in other reviews, people who disliked it either expected ACOTAR or can't handle dynamic povs.

Cliffhanger?
What the heck? I already googled that there was a next book. How come there is no cliffhanger at the end to annoy, until you read the next chapter?
Very professional, and not at all capitalistic enough. 5 stars to all, waiting for the HBO series.
Still really waiting for the next book.

What a fantastic trilogy
I Love this story. I love the characters and twists and turns and it has genuinely made me tear up. I love that we as the listener are more involved in the scheming without taking away the surprises! (In comparison to throne of glass series which I also love)

Just awesome.
loved the story. A great read and captivated me from the very begining. although the spicy parts can be a little much when you listen to it quite loud in your car🫣
