Summary
In 2009 Malala Yousafzai began writing a blog on BBC Urdu about life in the Swat Valley as the Taliban gained control, at times banning girls from attending school. When her identity was discovered, Malala began to appear in both Pakistani and international media, advocating the freedom to pursue education for all.
In October 2012, gunmen boarded Malala's school bus and shot her in the face, a bullet passing through her head and into her shoulder. Remarkably, Malala survived the shooting. At a very young age, Malala Yousafzai has become a worldwide symbol of courage and hope. Her shooting has sparked a wave of solidarity across Pakistan, not to mention globally, for the right to education, freedom from terror and female emancipation.
I Am Malala, the memoir of Malala Yousafzai, will shed insight into the lives of those children who cannot attend school, will tell the inspiring story of a schoolgirl faced the Taliban with courage and bravery. Read by Archie Panjabi, with a prologue read by Malala Yousafzai.

an amazing and inspiring story
This story is wonderfully written and read. Malala is the strongest young women I have ever heard of and I am so excited to see where she goes in her life and have no doubt she will change the way the world views education for women. well done Malala you are an inspiration!

Brilliant and incredible, the story of a Pakistani teenager who was shot in the head by the Taliban on her way home from school because she wanted education for girls.

amazing!

this was an incredible book, definitely worth a read! really puts things into perspective.

Malala is such a brave girl!
What does Malala Yousafzai and Archie Panjabi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Every little detail made you feel like you were there being a part of it making it that bit more emotional, i cried during this book.

Her pen is definitely mightier than the sword
This book is an inspiration to all. Full of beauty, full of knowledge, full of life. Although the Taliban may have tried to silence her; her voice shall only be louder, and hopefully she will be heard by all.

Tragedy story but an amazing young lady.
What an amazing young lady, it was a tragedy what happened to her. I’m so glad that so many countries stepped up to help her and her family. Also nice to see her own country of Pakistan stepping up and helping them whilst they were in the UK.
