About this listen

From the author of THIRTY THINGS I LOVE ABOUT MYSELF, a witty and uplifting story of learning to accept yourself - and your dysfunctional family. Perfect for fans of Bella Mackie and Dolly Alderton

FOURTEEN DAYS, THREE SISTERS AND THE MOTHER OF ALL LIES

Reeva Mehta is thriving. Consumed in her career as one of London's top divorce lawyers, she doesn't bat an eyelid when her mum calls to tell her that her dad is dead. Because he's been dead since she was five...hasn't he?

If finding out her dad was alive - until last week - wasn't bad enough, his last request was for his daughters to spend fourteen days in mourning at his house. Which means Reeva must spend a fortnight stuck with the people who betrayed her when she needed them the most - her sisters.

Navigating her absent Bollywood megastar mother, newly dead father and scheming sisters with only a temperamental boyfriend - and even more temperamental cat - by her side, it's no wonder Reeva's hair is falling out. Could confronting the truth help the Mehtas put aside their differences, or will attending a funeral be the death of this family?

A fresh, funny and oh-so-relatable novel about trying to be the grown up when your magnificently messy family seems set to sabotage everything. Get ready to laugh, cry and fall in love with this addictive story.

Critic reviews

I absolutely LOVED I Wish We Weren't Related! It's hilariously funny, totally heartfelt and completely original - a perfect comedy about family, sisterhood and self-discovery. I learned so much about Hindu culture and really related to the stresses of dealing with difficult friendships, family drama and alopecia to boot. Radhika Sanghani is a huge talent! (Laura Price, author of Single Bald Female)
A heartwarming novel about families and how to survive them (Sheila O'Flanagan, bestselling author of Three Weddings and a Proposal)
I absolutely loved it! It was like a glorious warm hug of a book! (Harriet Minter)

Good story

This was an initially gripping story about family and sisterhood. It felt like it had several endings though and could have been broken up into at least 2, possibly 3 books. Read a bit like a self help book in places, but over all enjoyable
