My name is Ethan Drake, and I’m a police detective. And I got plenty darkness to give.
So does my partner, who’s a demon, and frankly, a royal pain in my ass. But occult investigators are in short supply in the PD, so what are you going to do? Anyway, we just caught a bodysnatching case that has the stench of occult workings all over it. Only my job has been made harder by a demon who’s decided it wants me as a vessel, and will stop at nothing until it gets what it wants. Internal Affairs are also gunning for my badge over the murder of some guy who deserved it, and on top of that, I’m trying to solve the murders of my ex-wife and daughter. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the snarkiest Hellicorn in the known universe.... You know that thing threatening all of humanity?

I wasn’t sure…
But am really glad I listened to these books. Great writing that includes everything you’d want, excitement, emotional highs and lows all bought to life with a great narration to boot! Off to find more right now!

Fantastic listen
Engaging entertaining just the right amount of cop, funny, mystical and violence great characters and the narrator keeps the story moving at a nice pace. I’ve enjoyed this trio of books good value and I’ve enjoyed it a few times. Well worth downloading

Loved it.
I love these urban fantasy books having already read a few like Spectral detective from the uncanny kingdom collection, ( read the whole series) thought I'd try these 3 and I wasn't disappointed.
Made me laugh out loud a few times especially the antics of the 'hell bastards' and the hellicorn whom I enjoyed listening to very much.
Brian Wiggins voice was a pleasure to listen to and brought the characters to life with amazing detail which wasn't too much or over the top. Already purchased the next 3 books as i cant wait to see how the story unfolds and grows.
Nothing bad at all to say about the author, the storyline or the narrator. One thing I will say, which didn't bother me at all, is the colourful language used is explicit so if you're easily offended by swear words avoid these books.
If you love this genre with a strong main character, a detective with a story to tell but with laughs a long the way, then give these a try.

First 3 books deal - brilliant!
Can’t believe that I got these 3 brilliant books for one credit. Usually if such a deal is on offer I would assume that the books were so-so at best. Not this time. Fast moving multi-layered plots, amazing array of imaginative, bizarre but well rounded characters and a tough, but moral code bound, protagonist. I can’t wait to read book 4 and will be recommending this hidden gem urban fantasy series to others who I know also like this genre.

Interesting detective story
what can i say, i loved it from the get go and kept on listening untill i had consumed all 6 books in the series. it has cool one liners, loveable charicters... i just feel in love with it and im sure, if you found your way here, you will as well. Will defenetly be looking out for more from N.P.Martin

Great story, great narrator
I wasn't sure about these books when I read the write up but must say I was pleasant surprised. I love the main character and his antihero style. The narrator's characterisations were seriously good and it was easy to differentiate between characters when having conversations. The books kept my attention and I found myself wanting to finish the books in one sitting. Brilliant! Would recommend and will be buying the next set in the series

fantastic
Best ever . funny exciting.laughed out loud at times. I've listened to so many books . this is fabulous from start to finish. one of my favourites. First time listened from this author I'm hooked !! and narrator really reads well completely and utterly love this.
