About this listen
The only thing music publicist Courtney Lincoln dislikes more than knock-off sugary breakfast cereal is the hunky lead singer of her brother’s ridiculously popular band. A band on the rocks, again. Seems like this time it’ll take a miracle to save Dimefront.
So, when she discovers she’s pregnant following one teeny, tiny, mind-blowing morning with Brennan “Bax” Baxter, the timing is not great. Being a mom wasn’t part of her plan, but her plans just changed. Following the implosion of his engagement, Bax realizes he doesn’t want to lose Dimefront, too. But he’s finally let his guard down with Courtney in a steamy slip-up that ties them together as unlikely co-parents. The big problem? He broke the cardinal rule of music - don’t knock up the bass player’s little sister. Especially a little sister who sees straight through the façade he’s painstakingly curated. But he’s always wanted a family, and he’s being offered that chance. Plus, Courtney might just be exactly who he needs to keep him grounded. Even if the band can mend fences, there’s a baby on the way, and Courtney’s questioning everything she once thought. Bax is suddenly a dreamy boyfriend, but she isn’t convinced it’s authentic given all she knows about his rocker past.
As the group heads out on what they hope is a reunion tour, Bax and Courtney have to figure out what’s real, what’s not, and if they can learn to finally trust each other....

Funny and emotional Rockstar Romance
I was impressed by this first book of Christina’s that I had heard. And I’m a sucker for all books about rockstars.
This is I guess book 2 of the series but I hadn’t known that going in and it was great as a standalone but I really want to hear all of the audiobooks about this band.
Right off the bat what intrigued me was the narrators selected to play Courtney Lincoln and Brennan “Bax” Baxter. Both such amazing actors at their craft.
Courtney is a gal who loves what she does as the band’s publicist for Dimefront her brother Linxs’ successful band. And it goes straight into her being pulled into holing up with the lead singer when Bax’s relationship with a cheating fiancée de-rails. She loves to argue with Bax, it seems to be their thing since there’s a history with Bax growing up with Linx and herself which made for formed opinions on what ‘Court’ thinks of her brothers best friends actions. There’s some really lol moments in this audiobook. Yet bickering with each other while Bax is Hiding out at Courtney’s place also seems to be more of a turn on for frontman Bax than Courtney ever know, wholly that’s one hot shower scene.
The realization that the one hot night that these two shared has led to them co-parenting a surprise baby is what the book was about. But Courtney isn’t sure Bax has what it takes to become a parent. I laughed at the antics of each of their families when the pregnancy is discovered. And also the antics of their other band mate Knox. So many lol situations that made this book so very enjoyable. And made me want to hear more of Linx and Knox too. Also excited to hear more about the new band members who joined the group recently.
Rose was spicy yet also vulnerable as Courtney and she really showed all of the emotions that pregnant Courtney goes through as the relationship grew between her and Bax. Jason played Bax off so amazingly too. As we see him grow into a responsible dad to be and his emotions also come out and I heard the maturing Bax does. The best part is hearing Jason sing, swoony voice for sure!
This is a beautiful story about acceptance and love, that included family and friends. It also had some situations where it made me wonder will these two truly have a future together especially when Bax makes a song about his cheating ex😳. All I can say is Courtney has a lot of trust and is hopeful that a real relationship with Bax will come. And of course I really do love a HEA.

Definitely a good book
A lot of love, several good laughs, little drama, that was definitely a good book.
It revolves around two somewhat self-centered people who learn to really listen to someone else to know what they need–Bax with pregnant Courtney’s needs and wants, Courtney with their baby’s. It was interesting to follow the shift in their behavior. They aren’t bad people at the beginning, they just have a strong need to control everything.
Another shift: the change from enemies to lovers. Though we don’t see much of their feud–mostly some teasing and frowning–it is said that they have been bickering for years. And sure, they don’t always see eye to eye even when they decide to be co-parents. But the change is smooth, with feelings entering the equation.
The humor comes mostly from the side characters. Seriously, Knox is hilarious. So is Irina. The dynamics in the band, in Courtney’s family, are fun and energetic. But there’s also a lot of humor to find with the main characters. Bax is so clueless it’s even adorable, and his exchanges with Courtney often made me laugh.
As for the sexy? Let me just say: shower scene. I love a woman taking matters into her own hands–literally. Courtney is a strong character, in every way.
The audio was good. I felt the humor fell flat with the female narrator, but the male narrator had the right energy to deliver the lines. They both were good though, especially with emotions. It was a good way to enjoy this book.
