About this listen
A photograph pictures more than just memories.... DI Honey Laird is enjoying maternity leave when her neighbour, Kate Ingliston, asks for help in tracking down a stolen camera, which contains some rather revealing pictures of her and her lover. Honey feels she has to help, but when the trail leads to the murky shores of the Glaswegian underworld, it seems that all those involved are in real danger....

Painful protagonist
It was an ok story read in one time throughout. I’m not sure I’ll read any more by this author

Murder She Wrote in a book
A light easy listener, characters a bit silly but if you just want some little story to pass the time this would work. The narrator matched the story’s setting perfectly. Would be great to know which book comes next in the series though, maybe a teaser at the end.

Honey is awful
I found the main character Honey Laird extremely unlikeable. She is full of self importance, materialistic and often had derogatory thoughts and comments about other characters less fortunate than herself in the story. She is of course more intelligent, attractive and competent than everyone else. This made the book hard to enjoy however the plot and narration was great!

Narrator
Narrator was dreadful, monotonous throughout. The same level of voice with no real effort to get into character, very boring. Couldn't finish it.

Poor
I found the whole story very poor. The writer doesn’t seem to have much knowledge about police procedures and the narration was dreadful.

Dull and pedestrian ‘Scot tatty’ crime
Avoid this if the imaginary life of a rich and privileged senior Scottish police officer juggling baby with high powered job and the need to manage her services is not of interest. Difficult to be enthusiastic about even on a long car journey with poor reception, but I opted for the radio.

Next please
A very dull story which is jumbled and boring with a rather unpleasant lead character. I gave up after ten changes
