Summary

Three ballroom dancers were murdered over 40 years ago. Wow, that’s one old cold case. What’s more, the murderer, who was thought to have been killed during a police chase, has resurfaced in Pittsburgh. Yikes! How can that be?

Worse, ballroom dancing simply isn’t Detective Nathan Landry’s forte. After weeks of practice, Nathan still has two left feet. Can Fiona step in to guide Nathan through this dancing debacle or will it take 40 years for the detective to find his footing?

Double yikes! Join Fiona and detective Landry in this high-stepping whodunit!

Love this author

This is the sixth in the Fiona Quinn mystery series. This one is full of my favourite usual characters too. Immediately Nathan is called to a burglary. You get sucked into the finger prints, the questioning and you get so curious on where this mystery will lead. The narrator is always so quirky with the voices that make this book flow with a lovely pace as you listen.

Could someone who’s dead really be alive? I giggled so much at the ballroom practicing scenes. It got me thinking of the first week of strictly come dancing. Nathan and Fiona’s relationship is just pure lush. A coded case comes to life and you discover the ballroom murders from 40 years ago. It is funny how Nathan and his partner are learning how to dance to try and catch out the murderer.

Yey Harriet is back, Fiona’s side kick hasn’t gone anywhere. Although you can listen as a stand-alone you wouldn’t appreciate the grandma apartment or how the author fully brings the history of the path to life. I liked how Fiona had her own mystery to solve on top of Nathan’s murder case. The author as usual pieces the together the two dilemmas perfectly.

If you love a cosy audio this is ideal for you. I cannot rate this author enough.
