Summary
The hilarious children’s book from number one best-selling author David Walliams.
On a volcanic island, in the middle of shark-infested waters, stands the Cruel School. The lessons are appalling, the school dinners are revolting and the teachers are terrifying—especially the mysterious science teacher Doctor Doktur.
When Larker is sent to the school, she quickly realises something very odd is going on...something involving Doctor Doktur, a pair of strange spectacles and a ‘Monsterfication Machine’. And ultimately she finds herself face-to-face with a real life Megamonster.
There seems to be no escape—but for Larker, nothing is impossible....

Awesome, spectacular I ♥️ it!
Right I don’t need a long review because I can say in one word that you will know how this book is because of this powerful word! Ok here it comes! Spectaculic ! Yes that is a word that you will find in the one and only Walliams Dictionary! Long story short it’s a good book. BUY IT….

Great book I really enjoyed it
It’s a really great book and mysterious and I really enjoyed it just a few things,it’s a great story and in my opinion it’s good that a girl is the main character and I really enjoyed but for younger ones I think it’s a little scary and the music between chapters could be a little disturbing depending on how you look at it but I really like you book so great work

Great! (Spoiler alert)
It’s very atmospheric, and kinda creepy to listen to at night. Although it does have a few loose ends that would be really interesting. It’s also a bit dark because it involves an eeevil (I really mean evil) teacher who sends people into space?! I guess the only nice teacher in the school just died?? Suspicious goings-on and a well-weaved plotline (and a kindaaa creepy teacher/clockbot who was in a cabinet and had a leg that fell of and kept saying ‘toodle pip!’) It has music between chapters and added sound effects, they really tie it all together. The aspect is much like most other David Walliams books, if the name didn’t give it away(which it shouldn’t!) which is that it’s about the worst kids and worst teachers. I really didn’t expect Doctor Doctur would be the main villain, in control of the school and all! But it was kinda a bit disappointing to find out that all of the teachers are just robots and the real ones died in space. Ok, this review was way too long, I could still write more but yeah. -A child that doesn’t want to say anything about theirself.
