About this listen

It's just seven days before Memorial Day, and a spike in CIA intelligence has pointed to a major terrorist attack on the United States. Now it's up to counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp to pull out all the stops.

Rapp immediately leaves for Afghanistan, where he leads a special forces unit on a daring commando raid across the border into a remote Pakistani village. Their target: an al-Qaeda stronghold. Rapp and his team soon discover plans for a catastrophic nuclear attack on Washington, DC. Information is quickly relayed back to CIA headquarters, and a nuclear emergency support team scrambles to the scene. In a few hours, the freighters have been located and disarmed and the danger has been averted. Or has it?

Mitch Rapp can't shake the feeling that the operation seemed just a bit too easy. Rapp follows his instincts on a quest to unearth the whole truth. What he finds is truly terrifying, and with Memorial Day closing fast, Rapp must find a way to prevent a disaster of unimaginable proportions.

Well paced book l. Rapp at his best.

Fast moving drama. Worryingly believable, a bit of choice language but used in context did not spoil the book. If you are a Rapp fan then you will not be disappointed

Terrorism or Politics? Which is worse?

Rapp and a team discover a plot to explode a nuclear bomb in Washington DC.

A strike force manages to intercept and disarm the bomb moments after it arrives on American soil.

Politicians, including the President, congratulate themselves on a lucky break but Rapp is uneasy but hindered from investigating for political expediency.

Fast pased, smooth and dramatic. Just what you would expect from Vince Flynn's writing and George Guidall"s narration.

Jon Abraham

A well written story about the world of today and the awful possibilities that we are open to.

Flynn does it again

Its not often that an audible book can be described as unputdownable, but that is what I thought of this Mitch Rapp yarn. Thoroughly entertaining, excellent story and brilliantly performed. If I had not already discovered this larger than life superhero series, this effort would have made me want to.

One of the best ever by Flynn, a must read.

The story will keep you on the edge. George Guidall probably the best narrator on Audible. The story, as incredible as it could be reality.
