Thorough Nutrition Book Focused on Teen Athletes

I feel better prepared for my daughters' nutrition needs as they approach their teenage years. I was an athlete, but I didn't eat healthy. I just ate a lot of calories since I always burned so many daily. I didn't have the guidance or mentorship that focused on nutrition. I want to provide that guidance for both of my daughters. This book talks about the importance of nutrition for your teen athlete. I had never even heard about macronutrients, but you learn about their critical role in your athlete's diet. It covers how nutrition relates to mental resilience, and so much of being a good athlete is mental toughness. This is a great book that is thorough, and the author has some outstanding credentials. I recommend this to any athlete or parent of an athlete.

This book is a different perspective on body and mind as it focuses on the necessities for teen athletes, specifically the amount of mind power it takes to be an athlete in this age range.
