Summary

After a year with her dying aunt, Bette knows what she wants from life.

  1. Keep Aunt Missy’s house.
  2. Get her dream job.
  3. Never compromise.

Chris Pressley is the perfect roommate — uptight and damaged and hung up on his ex. And hot. Bette doesn’t date, but she definitely likes looking.

Chris just needs to get away from the happiest couple on campus: the sweet, shy girl he loves and his former best friend. Watching Bette rock her tattoos and her curves even as she builds her own business is an education. That’s probably why he can’t keep his mind off her....

Bette isn’t interested in changing for anyone. But the heat rising between her and Chris won’t leave her the same....

Great Read

Moving On (College of Charleston #3) was a good read by Kate L. Mary. Bette has spent a year with her dying aunt. She will do anything to keep her aunt's house. Chris is the perfect roommate. They have an attraction but don't want to cross those lines. I loved reading Bette and Chris' story and cant wait to read more by the author.

Book 3 in the College of Charleston series picks up following Chris and his attempts at moving on from Annie.

"Moving On" by Kate L. Mary is a heartfelt contemporary romance centered around Bette, a woman who discovers her aspirations after caring for her dying aunt, Missy. Bette's goals—keeping her aunt's house, pursuing her dream job, and remaining authentic—form the foundation of her character's empowering journey.

Her encounter with roommate Chris, burdened by past heartache, leads to a captivating dynamic.
Their chemistry, witty banter, and personal growth stand out, as Bette's independence and Chris's reinvention intertwine. The narrative delves into Bette's business venture and Chris's emotional struggle, offering a balanced exploration of their growth. Beyond romance, the novel emphasizes resilience and embracing life's uncertainties.

Narration by Candace Childs was brilliant.
