Summary
The “enchanting” (Publishers Weekly) Jane Jameson series is back with a new paranormal romantic comedy about a werewolf yearning to find her own place in the world and the group of admittedly unique vampires who help her find love.
Tylene McClaine, black sheep of the McClaine Half Moon Hollow werewolf pack, has spent a lifetime blocking out the criticisms of her boisterous pack. They say she’s too bookish, too sarcastic, and worst of all, too picky when it comes to finding a nice werewolf boy and settling down.
But when she meets vampire and Half Moon Hollow music teacher Alex Bonfils, Tylene starts to wonder if she could create the life she’s always wanted. She takes every precaution to meet her sexy vamp in secret, but when a vandal around town starts targeting vampire businesses, she fears her family might have found her out. When the damage in town escalates, Tylene and Alex join forces with Jane Jameson, Dick Cheney, and the whole vampire gang to find the culprit and save Half Moon Hollow before it’s too late!

Cosy vampire romances are back
Wven though I was slightly annoyed at how obvious the villain was and that there was no twist at the end, the main characters are great and it always warms my heart to read Dick Cheney comebacks. The narrator is great!

Why is it over??
I have been bringing this series since the beginning of the year. Even though it is probably good that I can now also read something else.
I am still sad it is over (for now).
I'm definitely looking forward to other series in the future!
And I'm he meantime I might dip into bother series by Molly Harper 😉

A nice but underdeveloped addition
Molly Harper has given me some real laughs over the years! The Nice Girls series are absolutely hilarious. And there are some real gems in HHH, sadly though this isn't one of them. That is not to say that it is a bad book. But that it simply doesn't have any spark. The villains are not really villainous, the romance seems to come out of nothing but a scent and has little to no really depth developing through the book. As it it one of her shorter offerings I am not surprised, but I kept wanting the book to actually have some punch moments. And it just didn't, they were always descelated anticlimactically. One could all this an anti fairytale, where the princess saved herself, but what that means is that none of the other characters meant anything. I love Molly's previous works. And I wanted to love this. Sadly I just didn't.
Amanda Ronconi's narration is great as ever.
