Compelling Read
Finished over two days and really enjoyed it. The narration was spot on and so were the production values with the podcast element. Will look forward to seeing the TV version.

I could not stop listening- just brilliant!
Lisa Jewel never, ever disappoints but I think with this book she may have surpassed herself. The production of this audiobook was the best I’ve ever heard. It was so well done. This story had me hooked from the very first chapter to the very end credits. So many twists and turns. Great story, glad I listened to the audiobook because it was so well done. Definitely my favourite book of the year.

The narration was fantastic- the pauses and music added to the suspense!
The story itself was so compelling and the twists kept you guessing and on the edge of your seat. I haven’t listened to many thrillers as I don’t usually like being scared but this was excellent with the right amount of suspense for me! So cleverly written - I was dog walking on my own in woods whilst listening sometimes and needed to look over my shoulder regularly!!

Wow, what a ride!
This is a real roller coaster ride! Totally absorbing, this elegantly written novel, with well drawn characters is enough to leave the listener/reader breathless. Several times, I thought it was reaching a conclusion, when there was yet another reveal. Highly recommended!

Ruined my life..
I couldn’t do anything or get much sleep. I devoured this in a day and a half.. expertly written and highly addictive. Spectacular story

Best audiobook I’ve heard
LOVED THIS! Such a fresh take on audiobooks, felt like I was watching a movie. Especially enjoyed Nicola walker’s narration. So sad I finished it!

Obsessed!!
My first audiobook but not my first Lisa Jewell book and wow, this was amazing!
At first I was a bit unsure about the narration but as I got to know the characters and as the story progressed, I was hooked! Definitely worth listening to, one of the best books I’ve read!

Wow!!!
I really loved this, one of Lisa jewels best I think. I really liked how the story is presented, perfect as an audio read. The mystery unfolds when Josie meets Alex, who is a successful podcaster. Josie tells Alex how bad her life is, As Alex starts interviewing her, her story gets deeper and darker. I thought the presentation of this story was very unique, I liked how the story split between the various interviews and how the introduction of different characters were presented. I’m not sure if reading the story would have the same effect. Listening via audible felt like I was drawn into a real drama, full marks to Lisa for writing such a fascinating tale, a big well done to all those who added their voice in a way which allowed for each of their characters feeling real. And a special mention for Nicola Walker whose narration was superb. Would definitely recommend
