About this listen
Saxon Sinclair, the broodingly secretive Chief of Trauma at a busy Manhattan hospital is less than pleased to learn that her new resident is going to be the subject of a documentary film. The arrival of Jude Castle, a fiery independent filmmaker, soon sets sparks flying as the two driven women clash both personally and professionally. Both have secrets they have spent a lifetime guarding, and both have chosen careers over love. Forced together on the battleground between life and death, passion strikes without warning, and they find themselves struggling with both desire and destiny.

Dramatic ER romance
Dramatic lesbian romance between a up and coming film director an and enigmatic head of TR. I liked the story and the romance which covers most of the story and is full of love, as well as the dramatic events. Radclyfee early work at what she does best.
I guess I have been spoiled with narrators, Abby Craden and Nicol Zanzarella who perform on the Radclyfee Honor and Provencetown series, who in my view are the best. I took me a while to get into narrater Coleen marlo, she does good characters and expresses a lot of emotion, but her pace changed in places which I found ackward. But also felt the quality of the audio was poor - an audible issue, to me it seemed like it was overly compressed when posted so sounded a bit like listing over a noise phone line, more quality checks should be performed, as its a shame when so much work goes into these from the author to the narrator. But I might be a bit picky, so please listen the sample before purchasing, or use the return for refund if you strugle. But its a good story and the narrator is good, so I do recommend it, just check the audio first. :-).

heart thumpingly good
a fantastic storyline to get the heart rate racing, the blood pumping and a wry smile twitching at the lips. the listener is thoroughly spoilt in this story, with a suspense filled build up resulting in a beautiful and steamy tale full of twists and surprises!

An Absolutely great Radclyffe
…with a killer narrator! If you like broody characters with a throaty voice, you are exactly right! I love medical romance! This one is an unusual story, but absolutely great!

Early Radclyffe is her best work.
This work was originally a fanficton Radclyffe wrote, and to my mind the early works that stemmed from this time are her best. There is a depth of character that seems to be lacking in the later works, as well as a more meatier overall plot-line. All that combined made this story much better in my humble opinion. I had read the story online before it was published as a book, and was pleased to see this one had made it onto the Audible catalog.
I hope more of Radclyffe's early work's find themselves into the catalog. I'm not likely to think about buying the later works as I do tend to find them revolving around the same basic premise. That's not to say that I won't buy them, but I will not be buying them just because they are out there, unlike the early stuff like this piece. 'Innocent Hearts' and 'Promising Hearts' are two perfect examples of books that I would love to see here.
Narrator wise it was okay, although again the engineering seems to let it down. I have noticed this a lot with Radclyffe's novels, and I wonder if it just the streaming, or if the studio they use for recording is not up to par. It could be something that the publishers might want to look into. Although there does seem to be a problem with sound quality on more than just these works, but whatever the reason it detracts from you listening.

A good one from Radclyffe
I have mostly been disappointed by Radclyffe's books and only bought this one because it was going cheap. However I am pleasantly surprised and Colleen Marlow, the narrator, is excellent.

Not watch I expected....
This is very much a Radclyffe book with the addition of too much mushy ,gushy not quite Radclyffe stuff. I see it's 2014 so maybe the author has tempered her style ?
The book could be better and was okay, but the aforementioned didn't do the story any favours !
The hospital scenes were exciting !

Too much sex!
I was quite gripped with the first half of the book but the second half had too much sex in it for my liking and nothing was left to the imagination. I'm no prude but it just became too repetitive with three consecutive chapters describing the sex. I nearly gave up as I didn't want to hear any more of the intimacy between them. At least the last part of the book was gripping when Sax was injured. I think there should be warning that the book is sexually explicit because had I known this, I would not have purchased it,

Not bad
I enjoyed the story but struggled to connect with the characters as I have done with other audiobooks. I found the narrator was too quick with the dialogue and it felt rushed and hurried for the majority of the book, which made it hard for me to stay engaged. In some parts the narrator was so quick, I couldn't understand what was being said. I have listed to Melissa Braydens loft series more than once because the narrator was excellent and brought the story to life. I wouldn't listen to this again I'm afraid.
