Summary

Comfort doesn’t mean safety, not in a world built from the remnants of the life they’ve left behind.

Eight years after the world changed forever, Sanctuary and her surrounding settlements had settled into their new way of life. And with the events in Andorra a distant memory, they were safe...or at least they thought they were.

As Leah recounts their highs and lows, the memories of that fateful day come flooding back. The day violence visited them from the sea in a way they could never have anticipated. The way in which their whole way of life was threatened, and she was forced to battle more than just the invaders to keep her people, her family, and herself safe.

The day Leah discovered something that would change her life forever.

Brilliant!!! (again)

What can I say - another amazing book by the extremely talented Devon C Ford.
From the first After it Happened book I have always thought Leah's character to be amazing and I am so pleased that the story surrounding her life is being told beyond the original series. This story has dark elements with the force for good pushing forward, with Leah, Dan and the rest of the fighting team having to deal with people who have no appreciation of human life! So well told and thoroughly enjoyable! Kate's narration is excellent - the wealth and breadth of her accents are incredible, it almost felt like there were several narrators telling me this story...and the epilogue leaves perhaps the chance for more stories in this "universe"?

Engaging from beginning to end!

I think the whole series so far is brilliant.

Don' t particularly like the female narrator of this book - RC Bray is a hard act to follow - but i didn't let her narration ruin the story as the story is brill.

Again enjoyable

Again nit a bad instalment and good way to wrap up the series. not the edge of the seat stuff youd be used to with this series but pretty good. don't think another is needed would probably be flogging it a bit !!

Narration not bad once you get used to the voice!

Another perfect instalment

At this point I’m sure Devon can do no wrong! Pacing, pros, action, emotion, realism, it’s all there, delivered perfectly by Devon and Kate. If you’ve made it this far into the series you know that you wont be disappointed. If you haven’t read book one i think it’s time to ante up on credits. I may be biased... I’ve become a fan.

Another enthralling adventure with Leah!

This is another fantastic book from Devon C Ford. As with the previous title Andorra, this book develops the characters from the After it Happened series, but seen from the perspective of Leah.

The interplay of characters helps to draw the reader into the story, which although graphic at times, helps to frame the narrative.

Kate Reading does a great job at bringing the characters to life.

I couldn't stop listening, so sadly it came to an end all too soon.

Can't wait for the next installment.
