About this listen
Winner of the 2022 Eric Zencey Prize in Ecological Economics
Capitalism is broken. The relentless pursuit of more has delivered climate catastrophe, social inequality and financial instability – and left us ill-prepared for life in a global pandemic. Tim Jackson’s passionate and provocative book dares us to imagine a world beyond capitalism – a place where relationship and meaning take precedence over profits and power.
Post Growth is both a manifesto for system change and an invitation to rekindle a deeper conversation about the nature of the human condition.

Brilliant!
So informative and insightful. I especially loved references to the importance of creativity, ‘flow’ and self expression within a postgrowth economy - an opportunity to step into our greatest potential… just loved it.

A powerful message beautifully transmitted
I’ve listened to a lot of books on economics in the last few years, including many on post-growth and de-growth themes. Of them all this is the most moving and emotionally engaging. Jackson has a deep understanding of what an ecological economy needs to looks and feel like, with care and regeneration at its heart and with art and freedom at its centre. Thanks for this book, it has made me even more passionate about my own work in this area.
