About this listen
Another exciting story in the number-one New York Times best-selling series! The Republic Fair is coming! Visitors from all over the galaxy are traveling to the planet Valo for a massive, awe-inspiring festival celebrating the Republic. While his fellow Valons prepare for the fair, Jedi Padawan Ram Jomaram is hiding out in his favorite place: a dingy garage filled with mechanical parts and tools. But when a security alarm goes off on the nearby hilltop nicknamed Crashpoint Peak, he ventures out with his trusty droid V-18 to investigate. There he discovers that someone has knocked out Valo's communications tower - a frightening sign that Valo, and the Republic Fair, are in danger. Sure enough, as Ram races to warn the Jedi, the dreaded Nihil unleash a surprise attack! It's up to Ram to face down the enemy at Crashpoint Tower and send a call for help to the Republic. Luckily, he's about to get some assistance from unexpected new friend....
Don't miss all of the Star Wars: The High Republic adventures!

Good sorry, poor performance
Disappointed at the lack of production value present in other Star Wars Audible Books.
Good story though, good tie in to the Rising Storm.

I actually really enjoyed this one
Really like how this book paints a more complete picture of the events in Rising Storm and I personally love the connection to the High Republic Adventures comics.
Definetely recommend it to fans of Rising Storm and the High Republic Adventure comics.

Good
I listen to everything Star Wars because its a bit of an obsession. These younger aimed books, I am definitely not the demographic for but they're still good for popping on whole you're cooking food etc. This one is a good little companion piece to the main series' second book which is amazing. Give it a whirl of you've got nothing else on.

Pace of speaking very fast
One of the weaker plots in the series, with very little character debelopment. Performance was ok, but far too quickly read.

It was okay
Quite nicely carries on with the 'High Republic' theme. I dont think it will be considered a classic but it passed the time on and was okay as a short story. Definitely not as good as the other stories on the series. I personally wasnt keen on the narration. The story ambled on nicely and introduced a few new characters.

Performance to be desired
Like others have mentioned, there are no SFX or Music, which Star Wars nearly always has, even the other Young Reader books, so the reader does lightsaber activation noises sometimes, which is.. awkward.
The performer also mispronounces Nihil and Drengir, possibly more I don't know, which always took me out of the experience.
Other than that, it's a decent lil cute book that ties into the Adventure comics and obviously The Rising Storm, so if you like knowing all the lil random stuff, it's alright

Another great instalment in the wave High Republic novels
I enjoyed the story, it’s great to see some of the characters that we know and love from the other comics and novels action. The narrator generally did a great job, though I do miss the music and sound effects which is almost standard for Star Wars audiobooks.
My only criticism would be that the ending felt like a bit of an anti-climax with regard to the Drengir.
I did enjoy how this book crosses over with the rising storm novel.

Don't skip Jr books if you like the full novels!
I'm loving these High Republic stories.
I do wish there was more consistency to the given voices/accents/impressions.
Vernestra in this book sounding nothing like Vern in her debut book.

Not bad
Although I enjoyed this book, I think because I’ve read Rising Storm this didn’t really add much to the overall High Republic story for me. It linked up the adult novels with the High Republic Adventures comic which was cool but apart from that it felt a bit pointless.
Another downside is that I’ve listened to so many Star Wars audiobooks in the list and they’ve always had music and sound effects (which I love!) but this was the first one that didn’t which was very disappointing.
