Summary

Ryan Rosa has had a run of bad luck, but when he receives a VIP package for the newest and hottest game to come out in years, his luck takes a turn for the better.

But his good luck ends when he's stabbed in the back by a guild of players who betray him for a unique weapon he possesses. Ryan contemplates doing the one thing every player hates doing: rerolling his unique character and starting over. But even starting over won't save Ryan in New Realm Online. He'll have to work smarter to avoid using his last reroll.

This book contains the classic LitRPG elements of leveling up, dungeons, terrifying killer bunnies, crafting, and community building.

Pleasant

I think the listener will find this book a pleasant pastime. The main criticism I have with this story is how the female character in the book is portrayed. She has actual military service and uses the game to help with her PSTD. However, the male character who suffered a terrible accident and no military service is somehow a tactical genius. Maybe I would not have such an issue with this if the male character earned skilled in tactics.

It’s okay

Not a bad story. I think the whole re-roll plot was extremely forced. The cover art is definitely misleading, because if you are thinking that the MC has some cool ass sword he doesn’t he’s a basic spear user/ thrower. It’s doesn’t seem like a bad story I just couldn’t get through it. I stopped halfway because I don’t like his build simple as that so I can’t be to critical.

Gets slower as you go in

Start is annoying set up and I get it, but too much of the book avoids story to show us what kind of good guy the MC is. Best parts are when he’s solo’d(i.e. allowed to progress an action based story. It’s like they story is written backwards.
