Summary

The decision to start a new life is never an easy one, but for Joe the transition was far from figurative. Becoming a permanent addition to a game world, it doesn't take long to learn that people with his abilities are actively hunted. In fact, if the wrong people gained knowledge of what he was capable of, assassins would appear in droves.

In his pursuit of power, Joe fights alongside his team, completes quests, and delves into the mysteries of his class, which he quickly discovers can be practiced only in secret. Ultimately, his goal is to complete every mission, master every ability, and learn all of the world's secrets. All he has to do is survive long enough to make that happen.

Excellent!

Really enjoyed the previous series 'Divine Dungeon' and was hesitant about this book when I first saw it on Amazon. Fortunately, my hesitance was completely misplaced. Vikas Adams did a great job and the book was very well written.

I hope that in the future the audiobook is released at the same time as the paperback/kindle version and I look forward to the follow-up!

Soo good.

Having not read anything by Dakota Krout before I wasn’t sure what I was going to encounter but I ourchased the book on recommendations. The book was outstanding the story compelling and the narration really was enjoyable too. I’m so glad I threw my money at it. Just about to start book two.

nice listen

Good book. Personally the MC bothers me a bit. After the intro I kinda expected a battelhardent levelheaded guy but he is more of a scatterbrain and not playing the long game as expected.
Well I will try the second book.

Phenomenal

Great story, Joe is a fun MC. The ritualist class is an interesting one. Honestly looking forward to seeing what happens next. Can Joe win the game and return to the real world?

Solidified status as a Dakota Krout fan.

Started this book with some hesitation because of experiences in the past where an authors previous series were one hit wonders. After The Dungeonborn series, which I thoroughly enjoyed and is firmly within my top ten series list, I couldn't resist giving this one a go. My doubts were swiftly evaporated as I became entranced by the familiar writing style, deliciously memorable characters and perfectly paced progression. A very enjoyable take on the 'person living in a VR world' genre.
