Summary
Maisie Brennan is standing on a podium on the 20th anniversary of the death of her son, trying to find the first breath that will help her start talking to a room full of strangers.

Excellent characterisation and a very enjoyable story

I wept buckets!
A hard subject matter to write about, i have 2 boys of a similar age and i just had to pounce on them for cuddles!
Once i explained why i was being more affectionate than usual they laughed at me! But i did feel them squeeze a bit tighter!

I cried shamelessly....
I read and listen to Audiobooks a lot every day in fact. This book was just breathtaking every emotion possible is in there. The narrator was as usual fantastic cannot fault her totally engaging, the story was beautifully written. I really hope to read and listen to more of this fantastic authors' books. I found myself weeping at times and laughing out loud. really sad i have finished this book.

A book that will stay with you forever
This book is beautifully written and narrated, and will stay with me forever. It is addictive to listen to and takes you through so many emotions from laughter to tears. I can not recommend this book enough, it is one in a million....

Honest, shocking.
The characters are incredible, the story is gripping, and it shocks. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this, and I found the narrator excellent.
